U.S. officials say online betting sites can be used to launder money and sell drugs, and that they lack safeguards to screen out minors and gambling addicts.

How do you launder money which already IS in the banking system?
How many books do NOT have a money laundering inspection team?
How do you sell drugs? Can you also sell "nucular" weapons on gambling websites?
Which books doesn't perform an ID check on account opening and/or withdrawal?(it's either a send an ID procedure or conforming ID checking with neteller, which DOES hold your ID(mandatory))
The last one, I have difficulties addressing. I know a lot of books which offer a zillion of ways to self impose limits on deposits, plays or even ban yourself. I just don't see what MORE could be done.

When somebody gets up, and lies with a str8 face to the whole population, most of which is sheep enough to believe it, what do you do?...oops. I forgot. You get used to it. It's the "New american way".

I feel great about the country I live in!

The leadership of the country, I'm pissed at --- they are way off base. So, I'll do my civic duty and work with a focused purpose to vote them out of power if I can. I'll probably vote Libertiaran --time for a change.

Hell, I'll probably spread the word they are commies --- political dirty tricks are a tactic they use often. I'll do the same! (I don't have to reveal my real purpose.)

If that does not work I can, and will leave, or maybe move to the great country of Las Vegas.

I doubt I'll give up the cause!

I've seen the government off base many times! (Hated the Vietnam era)

We don't always get it right but the world would still be worse off without an America (and a Texas). I'm not always proud of what we are doing but I am proud of many things we have done.

The tide is turning and republicans (who i supported in the past) are going to get rocked in the next few elections thanks to overconfidence. They let the power get to their heads and thought they could pass any legislation against the wishes of most americans and thought they could get away with it. well their reign is coming to an end.

I just hope we don't get a howard dean type whacko running for president. I am not sure the opposite of right wing christian conservative is any better than what we have today.

As a Libertarian I don't have a metaphorical dog in the Dem v. GOP fight, but I'll remind everyone that historically the Democrats haven't been a friend to online betting either.

IMO, this isn't a Republican thing or a Democrat thing, but an *incumbant* thing. Best case scenario is that as many scumbag incumbants get voted out as possible....

To answer the question, I still feel positive about the country but not about the morons of both parties who run the government.

In any case, its hard to imagine things getting any *worse* after the Bushies are out of power..

The Republican reaction to poor polling is very scary you all must admit. Instead of accepting that people who clearly don't support them want changes, they decide to turn even more partisan and act like what the country wants is even more partisan actions. Politics on both sides of the aisle are pathetic and disgusting, yet politicians don't seem to care. Instead of worrying about good governance, politicians are just out for themselves.
