One overlooked concept for football bettors is an awareness of the weekly schedule. This is a well understood factor in basketball, where the betting line is adjusted for back-to-back games, among other factors. However, in football, very few handicappers adjust to the schedule as the season progresses.

I will read the article later but I am a very big fan of using the schedule to handicap in football. I think it plays out alot more compared to other sports. I have planned wagers months in advance based on schedules & how prior games playout.

I always go over the schedules in football. Pro's I look for 2 teams coming off of 2 or more division games or a sandwhich between division games. Colleges there are alot of lookahead games.
