Down by a run, two outs, 1-2 count and Papi needs a base hit to give the RedSox the lead.

Well, .... yawn ... he does it again.

Big Papi is clutch unlike AROD. AROD could take some notes on Big Papi and what it means to be clutch and not fade when the going gets tough.

I told my wife before it started these were the biggest 2 innings of the year--they HAD to come back. Tek comes back with a HR--Loretta with a big hit and of course Big Papi.

I get nervous everytime I see them as a 160ish fav. Over the years, I have always been afraid to lay -160 to -169 on any team. I have the worst luck with that number as a fav. I wonder if any stats back this up. I hate -160, I hate it, I hate it.

Timlin as a closer is an ABSOLUTE joke. Before Papelbon got hurt Timlin's ERA over the last month was like over 10 and then he becomes the closer out of need. I HATE this MotherF'er.

I am not much of a baseball historian but has anyone ever retired playing as well as Ortiz is?

He is a machine offensively...Amazing what a plant based diet and proper training methods can do for an athlete as they get into their late 30s. Saw it with Brock Lesnar last night as well.

given Ortiz's current physique i'm not so sure the advocates of 'a plant based diet and proper training methods ' are prepared to take credit.......................................dagone......
