Thieves got away with $30,000 from a billboard recently erected by an online gambling Website, which featured a plexiglass box containing $100,000 in genuine $1 bills, under the slogan "Win This Cash Free, Only at Sportsbook.com." Apparently, the crime took place while the security guard meant to be protecting it went to get a drink; he got back to find cash "falling from the sky." The remaining $70K or so is now in police custody. The company insists the theft was genuine and not a stunt.

Yeah, this was posted a few days ago with pics. Crazy stuff. The gaurd went on break for just 10 mins or so.

Gamblers Palace has paid more for its stunts than that. The offshores are really rubbing LV's nose in it these days. Bodog's billboard can't be missed just as you leave the airport saying they have been training people to come to Las Vegas for years. Brooke Burke and her what happens in Las Vegas happens on Sportsbook.com was another that was up for a long time. Now you have local newspaper hacks asking why aren't the regulators cracking down, its a total joke. I know the books know no other promotion style than over the top, but they really should back off for a bit and let things settle or else it could get ugly. You can pull crap on the DOJ all you want and unless they arrest your executives you won't be stopped. Messing with Nevada regulators is a whole other story and doesn't go over well.
