Song got the Lizard King on FBI watch list as revolutionary. Unknown Soldier actually got banned, at least the video. Sang "higher" on the Ed Sullivan show. Wanted to fuck his mother in The End. But five to one was actually thought of as seeding the minds of youth into overthrowing the system, vs. working the prime of your life for a handful of dimes. Of all the controversial songs he wrote, this one scared those in charge the most. They got the guns, we got the numbers...And I thought it was a bad paying 3 team parlay.

More than sure you are way off. Morrison hated Heroin, and was a severe problem for his drunken ass to deal with his strung out girl friend. I think he was a total drunkard, and dropped acid, coke and most everything else, but no shooting up. Here is a decent bio.
