I have no desire to revive the emotions of that morning
Me niether. I usually watch the Today show. Not this day. It's the focus of the whole show. Playing taps and all this stuff. Which is fine. But I've already had my head in it enough.

The topic has been discussed ad naseum for 5 years, we have all felt sad about it or paid our respects one way or another. I think the best thing at this point is to move on, or make it an official holiday.

What about the plane that crashed over the Everglades? Nobody brings that up.

I think some people need to relive it a bit to remember what we are fighting for here Just my opinion

It was pretty tough for me because I had just left NY a couple months prior after being there for 4 years or so.

I watched the first 150minutes or so, which took me up to about 30mins after the time I got home on the day itself.

Curioisity to see how it unfolded in real time I guess.

MSNBC has been replaying the Today show from 2001.

It just makes me sick and pissed off all over again.

Cant believe we havent been able to stick a rocket up Osama's ass yet .

I watched the Today show that morning from start to finish and the one thing that never crossed my mind was the buildings coming down.

That was the most shocking aspect of the day.

What's amazing is that after second plane flew in, the anchors still didn't know that it was terrorism. They're talking about navigational beacons being out of wack, etc. Not to get on the anchors, but it just shows you how naive we ALL were pre 9/11.

I wish I saw the news unfold in real time like it did five years ago. Call me whatever but I would want to see how they reacted as things happened.

Watch a bunch of footage on YouTube last night. Still hard to believe something like that would happen.
