Week 3, Day 1

I have had 3 straight losing Mondays, so I have no idea if this play has a chance or not, but this is my bet for tonight:

NY Mets/Florida over 8.5 -- laying $171 to win $150

Reasoning:

This is a let-down or hangover game for Anibal Sanchez after the no-hitter last time out and Dave Williams of the Mets has been pitching way over his head (3 straight solid starts) and I expect both pitchers to regress to their mean a bit here today so I gotta take the Over.

Record:

Week 2: 5-3, +$306 (did win $509 on the Mansion Bonus Bet & hedge)
Week 1: 5-1, +$913

I don't bet every day. I handicap every day, but don't bet every day.

I have betting goals, which creates a self-imposed money management type of "system", which means if my goals have been met for the week, I stop betting. Like in Week 1, I was up $913 after Wednesday, so I quit for the week because that was close enough to my weekly goal and I did not bet Thur. through Sunday.

I did bet an NFL teaser yesterday (in the NFL section) that won for $200, and lost a heartbreaking bet with the Cardinals in baseball (which I included in that post). With the NHL, NCAA, NFL and NBA all starting up soon, you will have to check the different sections for my plays.

As long as I have not reached my goal, I usually bet every day. And if I have reached my goal, but a game jumps off the page at me, I will bet that one and I will post them as the year progresses. Things get "interesting" when the NHL and NBA get going, because there are lots of daily "opportunities" available when those sports are in full swing (along with NCAA hoops).
