Move over Greg Norman.

I almost cannot comprehend the thought of the Detroit Tigers blowing this lead.

Could they possiably miss the playoffs?

Whats going on in motown?

I dont think they were a fluke.

being chased all season by teams with 2 of the best 5 records in baseball isnt a choke....

the braves being 2.5 games behind a team with a 15 million dollar payroll is the biggest joke ever...

The Greatest Choke Ever already belongs to the Yankees for the 2004 ALCS. No way this tops it. No way anything tops it.

As I like to say to my Yankee friends...A different team may win the World Series every year, but only one team will hold the title of Biggest Choke of All Time.

THe greatest choke was the team that blew a 7 game lead with 12 to go. in the 50's or 60's and Gene Mauch was the manager. Before my time. Think about that...7 games up in late September and you lose.

Da Bills...

Scott Norwood....

You can definitely choke on one play, and there have been some big ones, but The Greatest Choke of All Time has to be more epic than just one incident.

they shouldnt blow it. CWS are struggling too, and Minny could get cold at anytime even with their stellar staff. Keep in mind that detroit plays the royals 6 or 7 more times.

Het Chop try spending more time capping than starting the dumbest threads ever. This team is a suprise this year. Nobody expected this team to do this. Just shows how smart you are to call this a choke, let alone the biggest choke of alltime. just silly

Why does everyone say Norwood choked????? It was a 46-yarder outdoors.....that's not easy for any kicker. What about #1 Virginia losing to NAIA Chaminade in the 80's?

being a white sox fan my dream scenario would be for the sox to win the division and tigers win the wild card. I want no part of Santana, Lirano and those red hot twinkies.

Why dont you spend your time reading the thread before you spew out the mouth with your bullshit. Where did I say that the Tigers were not going to win the division. I still think Detroit will win as I have said many times. This is a what if thread, not a what a joke thread.

It does not really matter what the preseason expectations were. The bottom line is they had a huge lead. It would be a choke no matter how you look at it.

Troy St had Flordia St beat the other night. But they threw 2 very costly interceptions and made many other scared mistakes at the end of the game to choke it away.

Just because they were a 30 point dog going into the game, does not mean they cant choke.

What if JOE SMOE had a 4 shot lead against Tiger Woods going into the final hole of a major and he quadtriple bogeyed the final hole to let Tiger win?

are you going to say Joe SMOE did not choke because Tiger was better than him anyway?

And WTF does capping have to do with an opionion about baseball? I quit capping months ago. Do you have to bet to have an opionion about something?

And am a required to agree with you to not be considered an idiot?

Didn't the Twins smoke the Yanks the last time they met in the playoffs? Twins look like the AL representative this year.

35-3 lead by houston over the bills in 1992. I have never seen a great collapse.

As a yankee fan, their collapse against the sawx was the second worst.
