The guy ilooks like a MLB catcher out there trying to wobble around...so slow!

Brunell is also the master of driving the ball to the 20 and that is it.

Gibbs said that if Brunell is hurt for long then J. Campbell (3rd stringer) will start. If he is out for a short amount of time then T. Collins (2nd stringer) will start.

Oh J, to answer your question the answer is no.

I saw it in person tonight, HELL NAW!!!!! They might as well start Campbell and get over the growing pains now. Brunell is old, slow and can't throw worth a shit.

I am still in shock the Redskins decided to upgrade their offense and bring in high priced WR's and NOT upgrade the QB position.
The fact that Culpeper could have been had for a 2nd round pick is appalling, especially for an organization like Washington that wipes their asses with draft picks. For some reason Gibbs loves bible-thumper Brunell and won't be persuaded that he sucks.

I am in shock still that Brunell is leading this team who has a ton of talent all over the field...what must Dan Snyder be thinking? I can honsetly say I would rather have Jeff George at this point, if he was familiar with the system...Brunell cannot make consistent NFL plays anymore, period.

Mark Brunell scans the field looking for an open receiver. Lookout for that pash rush, move, mmmmmph!

i personally thought he played fine. made the throws he had to, moss couldn't hold onto the ball in the endzone, randle el was an idiot and didn't go for the first down, instead tried to be fancy and get past the marker and get out of bounds as well. When Brunell had protection he made plays, bottom line. Made no bad decisions on the field, his throws were accurate, poor playcalling inside the 10 yard line.
Not a matter of how well Brunell plays but how well the O and D lines play.

Nope! Not in the NFC East. Dallas, Philadelphia, New York and Washington will all beat up on each other and Brunell is still trying to figure out the offensive plays. From my perspective the Redskins are looking uphill in their own division.

...AND Drew Brees was available. I really wanted them to go after Drew, the franchise would have been set for a number of years.

He is one of the last immobile QB's. Even Payton was throwing on the run all game long. I agree line play has a direct effect, along with the wr's. But the QB is effectively the captain of the ship. If a drunken first mate crashes into the reef and spills a million gallons of oil, they hang the captain out to dry. Joe Gibbs and Parcells already have rings, from many moons ago. But in this what have you done lately world, they have not. Brunell the Immobile will not make it through the season. If you want to see what a pocket passer does against a fierce pass rush look no furthur than the Panthers or the Raiders. Without adequate blocking even the best QB will not have adequate time to read. Especially if he is slow. At best, Brunell is slow. Too directly answer the question, No, they can't win with Brunell, and will miss the playoffs this season, so they are not going deep.

Best Wishes...OF :howdy:
