I got a feeling by the end of the night many people will be saying the crew of Nessler, Vermeil, and Jaworski should be the permanent crew on MNF, and I'll be one of them... It's obvious Tony and Theisman don't like each other and it's very annoying to me personally... jmo

i was thinking the exact same thing.

Theisman is the most overrated announcer out there. He says about 20 dumb things during each game and i honestly believe he thinks he is some sort of a football genius.

Nessler is a great Play by Play guy and he is fimiliar with the NFL.

He began his broadcasting career doing play-by-play for radio of Georgia Tech basketball from 1980 till 1985, and the Atlanta Falcons from 1982 to 1988 before assuming the same duty for the Minnesota Vikings during the 1988 and 1989 seasons.

Joe T and Tony have to go way back, both being from Washington, you would think they would mesh better than this..

no doubt journey... at least with theisman and maguire the past few years, them arguing over everything was part of show, with tony and joe i honestly think the arguing and dislike are genuine... not enough room for their 2 big ass ego's in one booth

I used to wonder how Madden could get $8 million per year, but once you have to sit through a game with Theismann, you realize how soothing Madden is - he is easy going and animated at the same time - but most of all, he doesn't try to PROVE himself.

I was going to start the same type of thread. These guys are great! What a shame that we will have to listen to the other crew all year. These guys go with the flow and make the game enjoyable.

I think they were baaad tonight.

Joe really couldn't hide his bias and Tony sucks. I really don't like this trio much, although I like MT & Iv'e liked Joe T in the past.

Agree that the B team is better. Pretty good stuff from Jaws and Vermeil. Unlike Mr. Obviously Theisman. Also like how Jaws calls vermeil coach.

Vermeil was the man. Pointing out lots of good shit, sharing his football opinion, which you can tell is very solid.

I dont really have a problem with Theisman if they can put someone in there with him that doesnt disagree every 5 seconds.

Tony Kornheiser does not belong in there. When he was talking about linemen, and how they should be 7 feet, or put a helmet on a giraffe to bat down passes, i was completely annoyed.

Intead of all of these ESPN execs trying to act like geniuses by adding a twist, put 3 guys in there that are knowledgeable.

Nessler is awesome too. Very emotional. Makes you get excited about the game.

Jaws talks like he is doing one of those 15 second team reports on ESPN with the empty stadium behind him - Rachel Nichols style. It is starting to get to me. Tell that guy to talk like a regular person when he is analyzing a play.

He might as well say "Im Ron Jaworski....E-S-P-N"
after everytime he talks.

Tony does not belong in the booth. Many sports talkies are only useful for dishing out opinions. Unfortunately many execs continue to think this will translate to announcing. Well guys wake up as it doesn't!

If you want a coach, listen to someone like Vermeil as his opinion comes from an interesting perspective. The best thing about Dick is he isn't trying to be the whole show like a know it all. I love Jaws as he clearly has a passion for the game & breaks things down & does a good job of it.

Have to agree. I think general consensus is that Tony/Tirico/Thiesmann need to get the boot already. Who to replace them with seems tough but almost any crew is better than these guys.
