Do the Yankees have any incentive to win?

I think not. No reason to wear out pitchers, relievers, closers....etc.

NO REASON. Sure, they should win, but....

Your opinion?

What is funny is this: remember the thread(s) "Will the Yankees Make the Playoffs this year?" LOL! Nobodies' fault or wrong, but just humorous now.

10 games ahead in their division and it helps that Boston has SUCKED IT UP of late.

Sure they do.
Tigers and Twins are right on their asses for best record in AL, meaning home field throughout in the playoffs. Tigers 1 game back and Twins are 2 1/2.

Not sure how much motivation that really creates, but it's good for something. No team wants to float down the stretch and get caught napping early in the playoffs. If nothing else, considering they've been to the playoffs so many years in a row and haven't won since 2000, if I were in the Yankees locker room THAT would be my motivation speech. You want to be playing your best ball at the end of the season, and that's now.

Having said that, I'm sure Torre will still take advantage of the situation and set up his rotation, rest guys who are banged up and all that jazz.

I was thinking the same thing, but that's a difficult question to answer when they are playing the D Rays, where they will win regardless.....

Well, like you, I would enjoy knowing that they would put this up before the game started. But...unfortunately, they don't tell us this before the game starts.

I expected them to win...but "they will win because they are the better team" just won't cut it at the price. I couldn't see taking them, so I took Cleveland (who has no reason either, honestly) and they are getting beat by the Kansas City Royals (who have no reason either, honestly.)

I love baseball!!

Good luck.

Just busting your balls Tulsa, obviously. Very easy to say yes cause they're winning 9-0. Couldn't believe the score was such myself. Mussina trying to straighten up the record I guess.

In baseball it's all stat driven, so yes everyone has incentives.

What are you talking about? What? LOL!

Please, share your opinions, but don't mind if I have a big, fat chuckle once in a while.

If it doesn't rain out, it will be the easiest win I have ever had.
