if you dont have an opinion about it 30 minutes before the game starts then dont bet it...

everyone thinks i'm crazy when i cap 2 days in advance...well i think your nuts if you want to formulate an opinion 30 minutes before the 1st pitch.

I noticed the team total on the Phillies (5) has went from -112 to -122 in a matter of 45 minutes for what it's worth.

2 days in advance IS crazy, I wouldn't bet a penny on some teams with a single key player getting injured or sick the night before

red sox and ortiz
phillies and ryan howard
seattle and ichiro
st louis and pujols

etc...

right, one guy doesn't make a club and pitching and defense wins ball games, but losing a key guy in a lineup is demoralizing for a lot of ball clubs and could sway the outcome of a game

i disagree...just because I make lines for a game 2 days in advance does not mean I "lay anything" on the games right away. you can never plan on certain players being hurt, because the same is true for both sides. at the time you are "buying" a line you try to KNOW who is hurt... but you shouldnt avoid betting a line that you feel is off because "so-and-so player MIGHT get hurt"

I think its funny when people say everyone and there mama was on the Phillies and the line didnt budge:
the line moved from +107 to -119 and 67% of the public was on the Phils.
So at least get the facts straight if you are going to comment.
