I have been using java based OPERA MINI browser on my cell and decided to try an experiment. Pulled up my pinny account and put a bet in. Happy to report that it worked. My cell isn't a trio or smartphone. Just a year old sony ericson 710a.

Here is a link to the browser if anyone is interested:

What are the requirements for using Opera Mini?

You must have a phone capable of running Java mobile applications and using an internet connection; most phones made since 2001 fulfill these requirements. In addition, the Opera Mini download will tell you if your phone is known to work with Opera Mini.

Would you mind trying to access the Horse platform and see if it is possible to bet? I have heard that it is not possible.

Yes on cingular. I tried on the horses but it doesn't seem to work.

Yes I am not very fast on the phone keyboard. This option is only good for me while on the road or at the game for halftime bets etc...

I've got Pinny bookmarked, and my username autocompletes after entering the first two letters. Password uses repetitive patterns so it's pretty quick.

With images disabled, it takes about 2 minutes to enter a bet.

Never Understood This.............

Why Not Just "Call In The Bets?"

Call Me Old Fashioned...Old Timer...ETC....
But It Just Seems Faster & Makes More Sense!

Tony are you out there??

Well I have a Palm Treo 650 and it's great to put in bets. If you want the best you want something with a big screen. You'll just be able to see more on one page.
