How can anyone like the NFL better than college football?

I am so excited about watching college football for 12 hours tomorrow. Games that I have wagers on, and games that I don't. I love it. But come Saturday night, it will be a downer, even if I win all of my bets, because I'll have to wait another week for a full day of college football. I watch the NFL a little bit, but can't really get into it all that much. It's always a letdown watching football on Sundays, after the college action from the day before. But I know that the majority of people prefer the NFL to college. What is up with that? I'd like to know, because I simply don't understand it.

the No Fun League is getting rediculous. wtf is the point to not allow players to celebrate scoring? its part of the excitement. pretty soon they are going to make a rule that the crowd cant cheer because it hurts the other teams feelings. the league office is a complete joke. college football rules.

I was going to be sarcastic but when you think about it, Dopes get a buzz out of slot machines, its all a matter of what level mentally you can go to. Bit like Navy this weekend, are they going to run on this down? I say Yes. :thumbsup2:Great, I'm right again, what a Judge of Football I am. College is fantastic, I understand the moves. :drink:

The NFL office is run by people that think it is disrespectful to the game to have over celebrations after scoring. Wait till the next generation of people come in and maybe they will lighten up a bit...

Don't know though here for the original question. Don't get me wrong I love college football but I am a bigger fan of the NFL...

I hate the NFL. I will watch the bears a few times a year, but other than that it's unwatchable. College football hands down.

5 reasons why the NFL is better:

1) you actually know most of the players in the NFL. I bet you most people on here would be hard pressed to name 25 CFB players(not from their favorite team of course).

2) the same teams are good in CFB every year. I don't have to watch a game all year in CFB and I can still tell you most of the 10 at seasons end.

3) NFL talent level is way better. I don't watch minor league baseball and I am not watching minor league football

4) all the mismatches in CFB schedules. Any given Sunday in NFL. Central Michigan versus Michigan, that was really fun to watch (don't forget Michigan versus Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana. I won't miss those 30 point favorites).

5) and most importantly I am not watching a whole season of something so at the end of the year we can VOTE on who is the best. Only big time sport that doesn't have a TRUE national champion. BOWL GAMES SUCK:pucking:

one problem is that asinine bowl system. needs to be completely junked. 16 team playoff. maybe 32 eventually. no bowls.

fans would go nuts and would wonder why this change took so long coming after a year of this.

I prefer the NFL. If you follow closely, there is much more precision in the NFL (in passing and run blocking). In college footbll, it seems all the passes are the QB throwing the ball up while the receiver jumps up for the ball.

NFL is much better.

If the NFL worked like CFB, Cowbows would play 9-10 home games. Everyone would want to play the Raiders, 49ers, Texans, but only at home.

The talent is much more equal in the pros. With the Pros, everyone gets paid. In college, only some of them do.

You are correct, Jake. If I could vote I would vote for aloowing all types of celebrations.....I mean, that's the most memorable stuff about the NFL. I would pay big money to see Merton Hanks do his Chicken Dance again.

The NFL is great and so is College Football. The NFL would be better if they loosened up a bit. Now, if you are talking about the NBA and College Basketball then the NCAA wins in a landslide. There is NOTHING like watching the NCAA tourney on your own terms (all the games....no 9-5 job).

The next sportscaster or journalist who complains about excessive celebration in the NFL should be shot dead on the spot. I love creative celebrations.....it's just a freaking game for Christ's Sake.....can't the fans have some fun?

Don't forget, there would be no playoffs either - just polls.

I love them both. College games are more exciting to watch IMO. Seems like they play with more intensity. I can totally understand both arguements. I am right in the middle here, 50/50..

I know all that about the players are way better, the playoff systems is way better, the competition is more equal.....that doesn't make a better product. The NFL is freaking boring.

Like the LSU/Auburn game tomorrow or the yearly MICH/Ohiost. game...nothing in the NFL can compete with that. I would rather watch florida state beat miami in week on of the college football season than watch the superbowl

I would say 70% of the college games this weekend are dogs. 17 of the games have spreads of 14+.
