ISU coach McCarney shows how stupid a game coach he is. Cyclones have plenty of time left to drive and possibly regain momentum, but McCarney sits on the ball. Coaches must realize the clock starts when the ball is whistled in play. Iowa State had three time outs left, with 1:14 left in the half. Call a t.o. and the try to drive. I have money on Iowa State, but hope the Hawks win.

They should have called a TO to start the possession! DUMB! But they're best play has been the QB draw so .

I agree, but Meyer is asking for an injury in they keep calling that play. Running the option is safer for a Q.B. since they are moving at a slant, but Meyer runs straight up the field. He's a big, tough kid, but IMO Iowa State is using that play a little too much. Iowa needs to run the ball.

This Iowa D not impressive. Cringe thinking about OSU in a few weeks. One starting db out but could be ugly 9/30.

Iowa looks very average...middle of the pack Big 10 team if this is all they got.

Remember, Iowa does tend to get better as the season progresses, but Iowa State certainly the best team on the field in the first half. And also remember, ISU should be decent, although they have struggled against Toledo and UNLV. Iowa State puts much more emphasis on this game, than Iowa does. And normally, Iowa State peaks with this game and Iowa rises. But with that said, Iowa does look very average.

Why would anyone lay 14 points against an in-state rival after Iowa looked so shitty last week?

I have ISU in a teaser and it looks great now

Iowa State as a 14-point dog is certainly the play here. As I said earlier, the Cyclones view this game different than Iowa. Plus, the Cyclones offense is too good, for Iowa State to be a 14-point doggie.

I dunno. Fish fingered Iowa State and since I figure he knows everything about Iowa I went with it.
