I'd like hearing some of your guys' opinions on this:

some of you may know that I am an aspiring oddsmaker and have developed a method of making sharper basketball o/u's then Vegas (statistically significant)...so I LOVE making lines...I decided to make lines for 2 of my Yahoo! Public Football Leagues just for fun...

well sure enough 95% of those people dont know what a line is...only one guy actually knows how to make picks with a point spread and is enjoying the lines I am providing.

well in each of the leagues I had some IDIOT comment on my lines on 2 days AFTER the godamn games were Final commenting on how BAD they were. (i'd be glad to show my lines and the results...i'm sure you guys would not consider them bad at all).

but when i posted the lines for this week I called each of those fuckers out and said you have to PROVE that my lines are bad by making your picks BEFORE the games.

I KNOW most of you do not give a SHIT about this but I would appreciate it if you just comment on this, because I'm going crazy talking to these idiots that cant tell their ass from a whole in the ground!!!

So you make a line showing your league how smart you are, and are mad that people totally uninterested in betting don't care? Here's the problem: when you make the line saying Team A is going to lose by 20 points, Team A is going to think you are flipping Team A shit. When Team A shocks the world and wins by 3 points, Team A is going to throw it back in your face. You threw the first stone...don't cry when others throw rocks back.

I compare this to almost any guy that I have ever come across who has never really bet in his life and when you try and explain to them that hitting 53-55% is a solid goal ATS, EACH and EVERYONE in my lifetime have chuckled and said they could and have done better when just playing around at home and picking these games out of the newspaper.

My advice: Don't waste your time trying to argue with people that are not as interested or educated on something that you are so passionate about. All it will do is piss you off. People think because they watch football on TV they can beat pick winners.

Just from now on tell them to start betting and remeber they are in a sense our competition and we need their dollars to flood the "sports betting market". It makes it easier for us in the long run.:toast:
