LV Hilton opens up Balt-7 goes to 9 then off the board. Balt sitting at minus 13 at the moment. Why all this moment? Thanks for your help!

Paul so what you're saying is the oddsmakers put out a weak opening line?

Take the points and the Raiders on the road. What can happen, will.

Sugar taking a serious look at Oak and GB for the 1:00pm games. It's one game or the other. My numbers have Balt-7 & GB-3.5. Leaning towards the Packers, but will be one or the other near kickoff.

Considering The early line was posted before Oakland's nightmarish NFL MNF appearance, it could not factor that in. So from jump it was too low. Then the public comes in, with money in both fists, seeing divergent performances. McNair looks like the missing piece, they destroy TB on road. Part of the problem was prereleasing a number on a team that had yet played. Then that number was too low, the opponent looked very strong. Was it a bad number, no doubt. The number is made with the attempt to balance in mind. Not to take a 6 point move one way. Might make 14 by game time. Reminds me of the 6 point move in the Ohio St. game. Sure hope nobody releases Balt -13 this AM, only to have them win by 10.

Oak played one of the worst games I have ever witnessed Mon night. Offensive line is a mess. Facing good Balt D. I wouldn't touch Oak at +17. Probably not as bad as they looked , but who knows.

i have the Ravens D in my fantasy league and hope they put up a similar outing to last week

BUT

i just have this hunch this game isn't gonna be the blowout most expect it to be and if you MADE me play this game i would lean to Oakland - and pray

having said that - would not put MONOPOLY money on the raiders - but in contests and all - i took them

Every once in awhile the Raiders pull a win out of their ass. Normally not as a home dog, but as a big road dog. Not against the division either. There are a couple of problem teams, the Pack and The Raiders that I just do not know how bad they are yet. But overreaction to a miserable MNF performance is normally not a good strategy. They just downgraded two more players. If I were an investment broker I would not advocate investing in any product tainted by Al Davis or Art Shell, unless it was discounted or free. By week 3 you will not see these big crazy moves. They will already start as 13 point dogs.

I wouldn't touch Oak either but the current line does seem to be totally based on last week now, which is not correct....everyone jumping on Ravens bandwagon.

Yup, down to pick. If there was ever a week to gamble on overreactions, this is it.

Change owner, change coach? Start at the top, as that is where this train wreck is starting from.
