This is the week when <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Washington</st1lace></st1:State> will most likely try to pass some type of gambling bill or drop it for a very long time.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Many of us have made phone calls and sent emails.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Please everyone, take 15-20 minutes Monday to make some calls. Now is the time. These senators care about two things. Money and votes. Emails are good, but really just get filed. Phone calls are much better.
Please post copies of this message on all gambling related websites.<o></o>

If you do call him, the things to reiterate are:<o></o>
A. You strongly oppose congress legislating what you do in your<o></o>
home.<o></o>
B. You are hopeful that you can continue to vote republican and vote for him if he runs for president, but you and your friends will not be able to vote for anyone who brings up or votes for this bill.<o></o>
C. You feel the military bill should concentrate on the military as that is much more important than online gambling.<o></o>
<o> </o>
If you call him reiterate:<o></o>
3. Call Mitch McConnell (202) 224-2541 Republican <st1:State w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Kentucky</st1lace></st1:State>. This guy also sits on the committee that makes the Military Bill. There are 11 repubs and 9 dems. Thus we need 1 repub to block the attachment. If it is 10/10 it does not get attached. Horse racing is very important to <st1:State w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Kentucky</st1lace></st1:State>.<o></o>
<o> </o>
It is very important that these guys get calls. Please take the 20 minutes it will take on Monday to do this. There are 20,000 people on each major forum. We should easily be able to get 1000+ calls in Monday.<o></o>
<o> </o>
<o> </o>
The time is now. We have nothing to lose.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Good luck.<o></o>

- You can call Frist if you like. Republican. 202-224-3344. I think you are wasting your time. Convincing him that gambling is good or that this bill is unenforceable is like convincing grandma that cookies with grandma are bad.<o></o>

- Call Harry Reid – Senator from <st1:State w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Nevada</st1lace></st1:State>. Democrat. Minority Leader. Sits on committee that makes up Military Bill (202) 224-3542. Harry Reid has blocked the gambling bill every time someone has tried to bring it up.<o></o>
If you call him reiterate:<o></o>
- Thank him for blocking it in the past.<o></o>
- Remind him how important this bill is.<o></o>
- Express your interest in voting democrat in upcoming elections.<o></o>
- Remind him the republicans just want an issue to run on for upcoming elections.<o></o>
- Express interest in regulation and taxation.<o></o>
- You feel the military bill should concentrate on the military as that is much more important than online gambling. If they are going to discuss gambling it should be on its own and have ample discussion.<o></o>

- Remind him how important this bill is. Express your concern that this bill could put horse racing at risk. If this bill passes, horse racing could be next. Also, in the House, a rep from <st1:State w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Nevada</st1lace></st1:State> tried to attach an amendment that rid the bill of the horse racing and lottery exclusions. The amendment did not pass, but if this bill is brought up in the senate, a similar amendment could be attached. It would be best for horse racing if this bill is squashed.<o></o>
- Reiterate your goal to keep voting republican.<o></o>
- You feel the military bill should concentrate on the military as that is much more important than online gambling. If they are going to discuss gambling it should be on its own and have ample discussion.<o></o>
- Edward Kennedy (202) 224-4543 Democrat. MA. This guy blocks republican objectives in his sleep. The republicans could try to pass a bill that provides pencils to teachers and he would block it.<o></o>
- Your own senators. Get their numbers at http://senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm?State=MA<o></o>
- John McCain AZ Republican. (202) 224-2235 This guy wants to become president. Remind him how Frist plans to use this bill to jump start his chances at the Iowa Caucus and Republican nomination. He should do everything he can to block this bill…. Remind him about the recent publicity stunt in <st1:State w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Iowa</st1lace></st1:State><o></o>
