CFB and NFL..........will go down as one of the better overall weekends of the season.

Thrillers everywhere involving GOOD teams, many coming very close to the SPREAD.

Three that come immediately to mind for this observer........

AUBURN/LSU -----was a classic between two great defensive clubs............and landed right on the number.

GIANTS/EAGLES -----G-men were all but dead and not only came back to cover the spread, but win the game outright.

PANTHERS/VIKINGS-----definetly not a game for the faint of heart.

Aside from the two NFL games you mention (and the San Fran game wasn't bad, either), I thought yesterday was one of the most BORING weekends in NFL I've seen in a long while. Just too many lopsided matchups ...

Thank You xpanda. Boring lopsided mismatches ruled the day. None of the top 8 losers kept it close, or covered. Started with blowouts, more in second set, ended with one. NFL has no parity at all. In other sports there is always a chance the mutt beats the top team. In the NFL the mutts get blown away, which leaves no doubt of outcome, and zero intrigue or excitement. Even worse the mutts can't score. Wash lucky to get a kick return, Raiders still looking for a td, Bucs stuck on 3 pts for season. Not sure terrific is the adjective I would use for those teams. A lot of the games were over at the half. Clock could not have moved any slower 2H. Denver game 5 fg's. Inept. Boring. Mismatches. No parity. Why do I still watch this week after week, month after month. At least I cancelled my NFL ticket. I could not pay for this product.

Best Wishes...OF :howdy:

Your correct actually.

It was ironic that the FIVE games I had the most personal interest in were all good games for closeness and/or the spread.

GIANTS/PHIL
CAR/MIN
NO/GB
KC/DEN
BUFF/MAI

The first two mentioned were extreme nailbaiting/heart attack inducing affairs.
