I feel safe with ONLY one book. WSEX.

They have been put to the test and didn't fold like BOS.

Others books MIGHT be safe (and probably are) but only WSEX has a proven track record.

The books I have been avoiding are the VIP family books - I don't know why, I just am.

I'm also quite heavily funded at Trojan, I think they and Cascade are somewhat safe becuase of the large credit sides they have, which they'll want to continue even if post-up slows..

Like WSEX, but like any offshore book, I never keep more than 2 dimes at any one time at any of them.

what do you mean "safe" Mr Jones

if the gambling bill pass they could come after any book...I have heard others advise just do not keep any money at any book that you can not afford to lose.... and to me that is solid advise at any time

Dante and others who may be fearing the reaper,

Unless we just want to throw in the towel, I would think we should go about our business....no doubt exercising more caution certainly.

Also, unless I am rather clueless about what's going on, what I see is a funding battle and not much else. Possibly nothing more than a ban on credit card tranfers which none of us use anyway. Neteller may become a grey area so keeping money there would be less than smart. I would hope that the rules that most books have about withdrawing through Neteller if one funds with Neteller would be suspended if it becomes necessary. That would depend on the integrity of the book and whether it would want to continue to stay in business and put up a fight or simply abscond with our $. I would like to think most A rated books would not just fold up their tents and want to stay in business as much as we want them to.

However I see many of the second and third tier books to be very high risk at this time. That being said, the top books may corner the remaining market which would still be quite sizeable. Being a bit of a gambling man, I will bet that the books we know have been the most trustwothy stewards of our funds will continue to be just that. They will find a way for us to post up and most importantly to pay us.

Again unless I'm missing something, the Feds will not just march into the offices of our major offshore books and close them down. The battle is about funding. Alternative funding methods already exist and for that matter we are not yet anywhere near the banks being willing or able to decipher every transaction be it check or electronic, no matter what the the outcome of this legislation this week or in the weeks to come.

If you listen carefully to the language of the Kyls and Frists they don't even pretend to be able to stop the industry in its tracks. They only expect to put a dent in it by playing the fear card and getting the mainstream media to play along convincing millions of Americans that they are crimnals who will be hunted down and be locked up with millions of pot smokers. Where...in the countless delapidated trailers that serve as school rooms through out our land.

Let's face it we can no longer afford to build schools much less more prisons to house 12 million poker players and football punters. Its rediculous at best and nothing more than the well oiled Republican fear strategy at its most insane and heinous.

We should be cautious for sure. But to give in to fear and completely alter our lifestyle is exactly what these neo con terrorists want us to do. They may see us as another bunch of suburban housewifes that they can control and train to submit solely through Pav-Roveian fear conditioning methods. That strategy ain't going to work this time. There's enough tough boys on both ends of this. I'll bet on that. :suomi:
