$20,000 Padres

Have bet this game from last night at +104 to just now at -111.

Padres have dominated Dodgers this year and have won 12 of last 14 vs. LA. Peavy has been outstanding recently and is 2-0 vs. Dodgers this year....Penny has pitched very well all year but not so recently and hasn't fared well against the Padres.

The Morning After

well , well , well.....how do i feel this morning......in two words , absolutely gutted !!

Padres got off to the perfect start leading 4-0 with their ace Peavy on the mound....LA rallied to make it 4-4 after three innings.....SD retook lead in 8th and led 6-5 going into top of 9th and score 3 in the inning and leave bases loaded.......LA then hits back to back to back to back homers to tie game at 9.......no team has accomplished the feat since the Twins in 1964 , some 42 years ago !!!!!! Padres retake lead 10-9 in the tenth and once again leave bases loaded........bottom of inning Nomar hits walk off 2 run blast and the bet is lost.

This is obviously the worst beat of my entire gambling life , but life goes on...I did have Jacksonville and the Under last night so wasn't a complete disaster.

I bet $14,000 at Pinnacle , $3,000 at VIP and $3,000 at Canbet on this game.......Pinnacle actually accept wagers up to $30,000 on all baseball games and actually if you wanted to you could bet 10 times as much as this with Pinny as if you wait a minute for line to reset you can rebet.

Obviously no one ever bets real money. The responses in this post are the reason many quality cappers never post. This poster gave reasons for his low chalk post , made a bet that could have won easily and after losing has to listen to this.

I think the reason everyone is talking about monopoly money is because they are probably thinking the same thing I am. If I had just lost $20,000 on a "single" game, I would not, under no circumstances, be posting the very next day with a recap of the game. Wow, I just lost 20,000 but I scored and they scored and then we scored, but they scored... oh well, I'll just bet $40,000 tomorrow. I mean you no disrespect bedrock, but I'm sure you can see my point. 20,000 is alot of money. Anyway, if I had just lost that much money, I probably would be arguing with my girlfriend, or doing a bad job at work or something, the last thing I would be doing is "wow, did you see that?, they scored and we scored and they scored..."
I would be so mad, nobody would be able to talk to me for at least a couple of days. Good luck in the future!

If 20,000 is 2% of your bankroll, then that must be one hell of a bankroll, do the math. If it's 5%, still a heck of a roll and I'll even give you 10%. Who know's, it could be just as bedrock says. All I'm saying is that even for people that have that kind of money, 20,000 is alot of money and to most people, (once again, even people that have that kind of money) a loss like that would hurt. To come on and recap the game and act like it's not that big a deal leads most people to question if he really had 20,000 or 20.00? Just a thought, that's all....

the mere fact that he returned this morning giving an afterthought to his play gains him credibility in my eyes. how many times has a guy posted a play that large, lost, and dissapeared forever? more times than not. would i put 20 dimes on a game? hell no! but i refuse to dismiss the possibilty that he has, that being said good luck tonigh bro!

I usually don't reply to these kinds of posts, but I get sick amd tired of people coming into someone's thread and bad mouthing them. If you guys or gals don't have anything positive to say about someone, stay out of the threads. Whether he bet $20,000, $2,000 or $2.00, it really doesn't matter, he lost a hell of a bet last night, maybe one in 10,000 games you might lose like that, maybe. I think Bedrock has a lot of balls to come back into his thread and talk about the game he is probably sick over. Like I said, I usually don't come into these threads but I get sick and tired of you bashers coming into someone's thread and bringing a negative attitude.
