And according to rules, you will get the new line if this happens.

Wait, wait, wait a minute.......Doesn't action mean that you still have action, but at the NEW OPENING NUMBER that the new starter is at?

I'm sure Many Mets will be resting and hungover. And Yes they may not wish to put Glavine out there without any bats in the lineup. Either way he shoud get pulled fast and the line already reflects this.

Donater your wrong in regards to "Action"

Action means you have action on the game regardless is there is a pitching change. The line would adjust to the opening price of the new pitching matchup.

Kapper, I have to disagree. At my book when I put in the bet(with action) I get line at what it is at even if there is a pitching change. It worked for me last week when I heard from a source that Schmidt wouldnt be pitching and my book had Schmidt as the starter rather than Hennessey. I took the cardinals before the large line jump and was paid accordingly.

TheDonater,

Most of the time this is not the case. You have the game regardless and your odds change though your wager amount does not...just your 'to win' amount. You have a different 'action' wager than others have if you have one that works like that....

Good luck. tulsa

Your odds do not change if you do not list the pitchers. At least at pinnacle. The game goes off at the odds you bet the game at. Just do not list pitchers. Already on florida no pitchers listed. Hope they pull glavine even though he does have tough history with marlins. Line indicates books think mets do not show up tonight.

I agree Ruffneck the odds stay the same, I have done this several times when hearing of a pitching change etc... My odds have never changed they have stayed the same with the action.

Wrong! If you do not list pitchers you get the odds you bet the game at. The game below went off at around -200 because there was a pitching change for houston and I only listed carp as it was posted on rx the change was going to happen. My bet was for -159 and that is what the game went off at for me because I did not list pitcher for houston. How can you say pinnacle will give you the new line? That is completely bogus.:icon_conf

I've always been able to keep the original line at my books (Cris, Bodog, DSI). Lucked out big time earlier this season when I took Pirates against Pedro Martinez at like +240, then Pedro was scratched cuz he "fell in the shower" & Pirates smacked his replacement around & I kept original action line. Sweet game. Been on the wrong end of those situations too though.

Where are u two guys betting? Action means the play stands with the new odds period. Any offshore book works this way. U must be playing with a local bookie or something.

Different rules to different places I guess. Just make sure to get the rulings clear BEFORE PLACING ANY ACTION ANYWHERE!!!! Just a heads up.

Is everyone in this thread on crack? All books change the line with action wagers if there is a pitching change.
