I'm using Adelphia in NEPA,haven't had any problems since signing up in August... What's the Roadrunner? I got a $22.95 deal for 3 months then it's downgraded to 256k unless I stay with their High Speed which will go to $45.95. I'd appreciate some feedback on the difference if I was to downgrade after their 3 month promo? TIA

Cheater,
I had Time Warner for 4 years while I was in NY. It was NOTHING BUT TERRIBLE service. Every week I could count on extended outages and some jerkoff telling me to restart my PC 47 times in a row.

Powerlink, on the other hand, had been fantastic in my 2 years of experience with the service. I am very disappointed about RR coming to town.

The truck breaking the fiber this weeks was just a preview of what we can expect from Time Warner service -- and they'll manage to f up your service w/out a truck.

Any experience with DSL in the area? I'm hearing it's about 1/2 the speed, but if more reliable, it's an option.

Did that happen or just a joke of the excuses to come?

I called last night and of course they seen nothing wrong, but did say they could send out a tech, I told them no thanks.

I had a tech here about 3-4 months ago; problem was the guy who hooked thing's up for me in the first place had my cable split to many times which was affecting my connection. Once I got that fixed I have been golden! Now come RR to fawk me in the ass :smoking:

I'am seriously thinking of doing the satalite internet connection, anyone have experiences with that?

Friend of mine had satalite in the Southtowns, says he'd rather have DSL or cable in a sec.

Cheater, I had to put my wireless router in the basement ... wouldn't get a signal anywhere else - pissed me off a little, but could be worse.

Any word when the verizon FIOS fiber solution is coming -- sounds promising from what I've read?

Not good from what I read a while back, FCC and Verizon still going at it? Verizon wants complete ownership of the lines and FCC is for us for a change wanting shared wires, hense killing verizon's chance of a monopoly... Haven't heard the latest..
