I stink in bases this year, I usually do ok. This year has been brutal. Think I might wait until the playoffs, I had the marlins tonight, 9 times out of 10 they win. Mets clinch then this crap. I just threw my balance on 2 team parlay dodgers and padres. I am quiting bases this year. :cryingcry

I was on the Marlins today. And the Padres last night. :pucking:

I'm sure a lot was on the Braves today. Look how that turned out. :pucking:

Besides Pimp's here and there good days, everybody on here I've noticed has taken a lot of bad beats.

It's a roller coaster ride down the stretch, and you're better off flipping a coin.

been a good year here just dont bet the crowd fav, that will always get you....ck

That sounds nice. I don't fully agree. AT the same time, August and September are TOUGH each year. One is better off following the above advice then and taking dogs in the right situations. The game of baseball TURNS at some point each year...it turns. After that point the sheer length of the season becomes a factor along with teams that are in contention and teams that have zero chance.

By the way...zero chance teams show spark a lot of times...look at the Cubs (hate 'em) against Philly yesterday (Monday)!!

The crowd is not always wrong but the crowd really has trouble in August and September.

Good luck.

It's just you.

And anyone else not winning this season.

Same old story, same old song and dance.

I hate to say it, but that is true. It always is this way at this point in the season. It is the same pretty much each year and barman is right. 'Same old song and dance.'

Nothing is easy and this is one of the hardest things to do well of all time. That is why I love it.

I hope it was understood that in my earlier comment I implied the corrolary message that for those who have had a winning season or who might be doing well recently, they may feel it's "easier" than usual.

Of course, it's never easy. The key is to keep working to make it eas-ier.

That's why we stick together here and educate each other.

UTTERLY IRRELEVANT SIDE NOTE:

As I type this I'm watching that stupid show on SPIKE TV that has a bunch of Asians playing a variety of absurd physical contest that among other things usually has the loser getting wet, muddy or their bodies smashed (or all three).

I wish I could bet on this....Fun stuff...each round only takes a couple minutes...kinda like a horse race.

I started off the season very well I won like 15 bets in a row than I had a terrible midseason but I have been winning this last month and a half.

One way I have been winning is taking Pittsburgh. It may seem crazy but when they are getting +140 at home its worth taking. Duke, Maholm and Snell have all been money. Also I try to avoid laying a lot of juice on teams that are out of playoff contection. And I stopped betting against the Mets at home, they just don't lose and when florida has a lead in the 9th David Wright will drive in the winning run in the 9th.
