If I put in a bet amount greater than what is available, it remains as an offer until it's filled, right? Do I get charged a fee for placing this order? What happens if the amount available is really small, like only $200? If I want to place a bet for 2 dimes, should I wait for that amount to come up? Or just place an order? I seem to remember placing an order that doesn't get filled, and still getting a fee charged to me. Thanks

Am I the only one that thinks Mansion customer service has decline or what?

Before, all my emails would answer within 5 hours, now days, I'm lucky just to get a reply from them.

Doug, that's weird. Last week, I placed a couple offers...and when I clicked on unsettled bets, it listed those offers that never filled, and listed a fee next to them.

Why the fuk do so many cfb games only have $106 available?

It looks like someone is trying to use Mansion as their own book by offering -106 juice on all their offers, so they'll go before Mansion's -107.

Something I predicted would happen.

Yes .5% now, my bad.

This is what I don't get. I got the first $100 filled, but the last 2900 is just an open offer. And it lists a $14.50 fee for that offer. Does this mean I will only get charged this fee if it gets filled? If so, then why doesn't it show the potential fee charged if the $100 bet that was filled, wins?

Parlayin, you should be charged that fee only if your order is filled because I think there is a small fee to be paid when you lay out bets. I got a baseball wager graded last night and there was no fees when you take other people odds. What you should do is calculate if it is worth it if you get a better number, but calculate after the commission. A lot of times instead of waiting, I would rather take the number available after I have checked all of my other outs, and if the number is good then just hit it. I find most of the time, Mansion odds are pretty good if you don't need to buy points. Hope this helps.

I don't agree than the winner pays all the commission and I'm talking primarily about Betfair here, though most exchanges work like this.

Tradesports are different I think, there, both parties to a bet pay commission. This is far more equitable way of operating.

So are there 2 fees or only 1? I get charged for making the offer (rather than taking), and also if the bet wins? Or just if it wins?

If A places an order and B takes it and A wins, A pays the fee?
If A places an order and B takes it and B wins, B pays the fee?

Is it always the winner who pays? Or the market maker rather than the taker that pays?

Parlayin, I wanted to confirm this information because I haven't layed out a bet a mansion, but at other places like Tradesports, Matchbook I assumed they would be the same. I called Mansion and they told me that they only take your commission when the bet is settled and not upfront.
To make it simple:

If A places order and wins he pays the fee. If the bet loses, he pays no fee.
If B takes the order and wins or loses he pays no fee.

I hate to help posters when my information is not right, so double checked. Not sure why this is happening to you if you are paying the commission. It also states on the website, but you can't see it when it loads. Herz, Tradesports has changed their policy and they have no fees pre-event and if posters want to read about it go to the website and it details everything.
