I placed a bet +105 @5pm today on the reds but now i see -110 CHG. This happened on CRIS, can they do that? I had it on action. Why didn't they also do it on the METS. I placed it +105 and later it was +135 I believe. Please help. Thanks in advance for any input.

Yes. Only my REDS bet changed. Not Mets bet. Both were action bets.

Hold on...just help me out here. Was there a pitching change in the Mets game?

First, here is your answer: Oddly we had this discussion already in a thread here today. When you have action, if there is a pitching change then your wager changes. You wager changes to the opening odds of the new pitcher and your 'to win' amount changes but your 'to wager' amount does not.

If there is no pitching change then your wager is exactly like a listed pitcher play which locks you in at the odds you got at the moment.

Second....there is no reason to ever ever ever do 'action' that I know of.

If this doesn't make sense, let me know.

Good luck.

It doesn't always favor the books. If you had MIN with Santana pitching at -300 for $300 at action and he scratches and Silva comes in and it's a pick, if the Twins win you'd win $300 instead of $100 because you got them at pick instead of -300.
It could work for you or against you.

Like Tulsa said, no reason to bet action now that you know.

Unless you list the pitcher that starts, you have the revised odds and action as opposed to him scratching and you get a refund no matter the result.

NO one has ever given me a good reason to ever bet a game "action", unless it is a recreational bet and they just want $$ on the game. No logic behind it!! If you are betting action and there is a pitching change you have no idea what the "price" will be so how do you know you have value?

It's like saying I am going to bet the Colts in week 6, without even knowing the spread!!

I know some posters have disagreed with me in the past, but no one has ever given me a good reason to ever bet "action".

That is a great analogy and I wish I would have thought of it...

Good luck.
