BOARDGAME--1970s vintage ... perhaps even 1960s.

This is a vintage television football board game.

Its intent is/was to gamble on certain outcomes of professional and college football games.

In the late 60's and early 70's, personally must have played this game no less than 100 times while viewing a college or NFL football game.

Didn't know it at the time, but what a great learning tool it was for future "investments".

Oh my goodness!!! THAT IS too cool, right there!

How many board games have ever had pictures of guys that age playing!? LOL!

The fellow in the red golf shirt looks to be having a very fine time, yes sir. Look at the picture of greed he is! His friend is being cautionary, it is obvious. If there were a caption it would say, "Joe...now I know you've won most of my money already but you had better slow down...you're getting greedy! Watch out!"

Look at greedy guy's face. That is exactly how I look when I'm looking for winners here at the Rx! It is very hard to keep the intensity up but I try to look like that the entire time I'm here each day! I pretty much scare my family if they come in while I'm logged in here.

LOL!

How far we have come! Imagine if we get wiped out like the dinosaurs supposedly did!

Hell, it was only 12 short years ago I was a freshman in college scanning the USA Today for stats and betting info and using the pay phones during night class to check the scores of the games on the score phones....now cell phones and the internet are as common as milk and bread!!! The young gamblers dont appreciate just how good they got it nowadays!!! :missingte

I'm sure there are many more on here that had it a lot worse than us 12 years ago too!

This reminds me of the Machines at TGIF's where you try to predict what play will happen next.

This one guy always had 4 machines and then just kept the best scored one after the first.

They really do look pretty similar don't they...

Hmmmm...this leads me to wonder how greedy Dante could really be and also we need to ask him about his time machine that allows him to go back in time for board game photo shoots! You'd think he would skip the poorly paying board game photo and go right to the sports book and start laying wagers.

From what I've noticed of Dante, he wouldn't feel that was fair and proper behavior and greedy as we can see he is by the picture above, he makes a meager income going back in time to do odd jobs like board game pics and some Sears catalog work. He may be greedy, but Dante is very honorable.

Hee.
