It seems to me that Baseball umpires get it right most of the time....NFL refs are horrible in comparison...When will the NFL realize this and start paying these guys full time!! NBA refs are not that bad considering they probably have the toughest job.:money8:

As I thought about this...it hit me.... It depends on the time of year.

Right now I want to say NBA refs do well, but once I get to thinking back on some of my losses and anxiety...

But for today? NBA refs. Ask me again in February.

I like Doug and think he has game more than most. I ALWAYS look for his posts. BUT, the problem with MLB is the home plate umpire and the fucking ridiculous disparity on strike zones throughout. So...I disagree. From other aspects of the game, I believe baseball is WAY better on calls. BUT the home plate strike zone causes them to fall WAY WAY WAY down on the list.

Curling is best refereed, as there is really nothing subjective in the play.

For major games with subjective decisions, I go with NHL. The refs need to be serious athletes to keep up with the play and usually go unnoticed when they do their job properly.

NBA refs are the best by far! They are great with their contact foul calls on basket drives!

But really, I think it is MLB. All of the umps appear to try to keep a consistent strike zone, though the size of the zone is often different. They seem to try and make the right calls at the plates as best as they can.

Bowling. The problem with Football and Basketball is techinically they could call something every play.

That's the nice thing about tennis. And with replay even better. Can never blame the refs for losing a bet unlike most other sports. I am sure there are people who do well with bases totals just by knowing the umps. Don't even get me started on the fucknuttery that goes on in boxing.

exactly my thoughts. Too many pitchers get too much respect. Strike zones should be the same size for every batter and every pitcher.
