First off, I want to thank everyone for their input on my last thread and situation.
For those who didn't see it, it was regarding an ACH deposit that bounced for my friend.
What the status is now, he's closed his bank account that is linked to the books. He closed it with a balance of $0.00 so he is not facing any trouble with the banks. That is good.
He's going to start going to GA with me regularly. I've made him commit to going at least 3 times a week and definitely on saturdays and sundays during the big game days... that is good.
Where he stands now. He owes $400 to one book and $300 to another. His solution is still that he is just going to stiff them. While I realize that this is a poor decision, I cannot convince him otherwise. The important thing to me is that he stops and doesn't do it again.
My last question and attempt for input is what is going to happen to him now.
His story to the books is that it wasn't him who did the deposits so it was fraudulent. What consequences can come of this other than the books possibly just not believing him? What are the chances they will believe him?
If they don't, they will be likely to send him to a Collections Agency. Will his story that it wasn't him hold up to the collections agency? Will they legally be able to collect since its for an illegal use (gambling)? They likely won't pursue a case against him for such a small amount. I've read the following site, and it seems that all they can do is annoy him. Call, send letters and it has to be discrete.

What are everyones thoughts? Besides he's a jerk for stiffing them (I know that). His bank situation is fine, it's not with neteller at all. It's between him and books and he's telling them it wasn't him.
