Suppose the gambling bill becomes law and makes it difficult for US offshore players to use Neteller/Firepay.

For those US players interested, you will not be able to have a Canadian bank registered with Neteller if you are registered with Neteller with a US address.

Which means that having a Canadian bank account would only work for Fed Ex checks I guess. So the sportsbook would have to mail you a FedEx check, then you might have to deposit it into your Canadian bank.

I'm assuming the worst - that US banks are able to stop sportsbook deposits/ withdrawals. I understand this might not be the case, but I am approaching the issue as a worst case scenario to be safe.

"Someone I know" had the following chat session:

(customer): I am a US Neteller customer. My bank is a <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />US bank. I also have a Canadian bank account. Could I also register my Canadian bank account with Neteller?
Neteller rep: Alright as a NETeller customer you can only add bank accounts which correspond with your country.
Neteller rep: It is not possible to add a bank account for any other country. In your case, only US bank accounts will be accepted.

Neteller may change their policy if they have to in order to keep the money flowing.

Although I think they may be able to stop Neteller and firepay EFT's with a blanket "screw you" approach, I not sure they would be able to stop checks that they couldn't identify as gambling transactions
