Yep, I'd take him over Ted Ginn, and he's just a sophomore. GRRRRR....The kid is an athlete, and he just keeps getting better and better. Damn, ohio people going to that school up north. :nohead:

How ironic, Warren G. Harding High may produce a Heisman Trophy winner after all. Yep, Manningham (and teammate Prescott Burgess) hail from the same school as Mo Clarett....
Incidentally, Burgess would sure look nice in a Buckeyes uniform this season too. Would have been a great addition to the D. Ironically, he is at Michigan because of Clarett. Big Mo stole Burgess' girlfriend in HS, and as a result Burgess didn't want to be college teammates. Was a HUGE factor in Burgess' decision to to to Michigan. Oh well...

I dont know man...he has yet to show any consistency...and last week was his breakout game.

He's had a good game today...but did have a bad drop in the 1st half on 3rd & 4...couldve really helped a drive to an opening TD.

Let him have a few more good games, before giving him the top billing...when the receiving class is VERY deep this season.

Calvin Johnson is the most gifted WR in the land and it's not even close. If he didn't have one of the most inconsistent QBs in ACC history throwing him the ball everyone would know it

i agree, how they don't throw him the ball on at least every other play is baffling...

Michigan's best players usually hail from Ohio

LOL You got to love that eh Poker. You guys own there can only pay for so much talent. Trussel is a cheating coach with getting all these kids. He will put you guys on probation before too long.

Michigan clearly on the way down, Ohio St clearly on the way up. Will enjoy watching Tressel outcoach Carr once again in Novemeber...not to mention watch OSU out-talent Michigan every year for the forseeable future. It's OK man, I would be depressed too if I were you :Sad Face:

I HATE USC, but Jarrett is the best, i'd rate Ginn and Manningham close behind.

after watching calvin johnson last thursday, no doubt in my mind he's the best, looked like a man among boys out there, too bad the gt coaching staff doesn't try to get him the ball near enough...

Right Now & In The NFL

@ WR Jarrett is the only one close to Johnson. Johnson is 5" taller & 45 # heavier and just as fast as either Ginn or Manningham. As a possession type Samardzija will be a 1st rounder, if he doesn`t play MLB!

No one is in Calvin Johnson's league right now. I am a west coaster and love Jarrett, but he is not on CJ's level.

Calvin Johnson

CJ is the best receiver in College Football right now. Nothing against Manningham, but he's just another overrated UofM'er that is being overhyped. I hope the kid does well in the future for his sake, but the UofM hype machine will have fans in the NFL saying "I thought this guy was supposed to be a great player."
Just as Braylon Edwards will be an average NFL player at best.

As for Ted Ginn, he isn't even the best receiver on his own team. Gonzalez is. If Ginn went down with an injury, and I hope he doesn't, THE OSU wouldn't miss him much.

Did you see that Samardzija clown after the 2 interceptions by Burgess in the UofM game? He practically ran away from the guy as to not have make a hit. Completely lost respect for this kid when I saw that. If he doesn't want to tackle anyone he might as well stick with the Cubs and get off the gridiron. That was just embarrassing, if you get a chance you have to see the replay of those picks.

Samardzija has hurt more than help his draft position this year with the way he has played. I thought this kid was going to be unstoppable after last year but he has pretty much been exposed this year as good but not as good as advertised.
