I just saw the dumbest 2 point conversion attempt of my life.

Oklahoma St was down 27 to 17 and they scored a touchdown to make it 27 to 23, down four.

They attempt a 2 point conversion to make it 27 to 25. They make it, but thats not the point.

The downside of missing that conversion far outways the outside. If they would have missed, they could not tie the game with a field goal.

That is not smart couching.

You see head scratching decisions all weekend long by football coaches. I swear I could be a great football coach

Now Houston comes back and answers with a TD to go up 5 and they just kick the extra point.

Houston should be the team going to 2, not OK ST!!!!!! How much difference is there in a 5 point lead or a 6 point lead in the 4th? Not much.

Dumb asses. Both teams.

My mistake, Houston went up 8 on the TD not 5. The extra point got it to 9. Why not go for 2 there?

He kicked the ball out of the endzone on the kickoff after the 2 point conversion.

If its 9 points that they can't tie it with one score

if ur up by eight you kick the point to make it a two score lead so no, you dont go for 2 in that situation.

This couch should get fired after the game. First he goes for 2 to cut a 4 point game to 2.

Now they are down 9 with 8 mins to go, and they are at Houstons 9 yard line, but instead of kicking a field goal to cut it to 6, he goes for it on 4th and 3 on a pass to the endzone that almost gets intercepted.

Your right about that situation.

The bad move was going for 2 when your down 4. That was total stupidity.

OSU set up in a swinging gate formation, HOuston failed to adjust, and OSU ran the play that was given them. Had Houston defensed the play correctly, Okie State would have simply shifted into regular formation and kicked the extra point.

Nice move on Gundy's part.

Thanks Shotgun...disingenuous of Choptalk at best not to mention this important point when he started this thread. And at worst, I think this thread should be titled, "I just saw the dumbest post in my life".

Fezzik would say that the coach made the right move. That guy has some far-out views.
