Is it just me or is the CHI-MIN game a trap?

Seems like everyone and their mother, grandmother, and 7 illegitimate children on the Bears this week.

Is this the game that leads everyone to slaughter?

I'm already on the train my man!

Seems like we've been on a lot of the same games this weekend, NW and PSU to name two specifically...

Oh wait a minute...maybe that's not such a good thing.

Really? Everywhere I read I see people all over the Vikes. But I've never understodd what is meant by "trap" anyway. One of those terms that confounds me.

Maybe an inordinate number of people here are on the Bears because The Almighty One has ordained them as the play of the day. Might be different elsewhere around the net.

Because I like it enough and because I'm lazy to some extent, limit my viewing to therx.

I don't think it's a trap at all, the number is right where it should be IMO. Vikes 2-0, at home, getting more than a field goal. And the Bears beat 2 cupcakes, at least Minnesota has beaten a playoff-caliber team...

Here is title of a thread a couple pages back....

LV source: "Bears are on 50 parlay bets to every 1 Minnestoa is on"

i'm guessing books are taking about 80% on the bears.

Yeah, but they barely squeaked by, twice, and Carolina handed them that game. Bears demolished their opposition twice. Can only play the team in front of you. Just don't see how Minny can score enough unless the Bears offense makes a bunch of turnover mistakes.

<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Was listening to a nationwide sports radio program on the way home from work and the weekly feature were they took to a bookmaker type from the Mirage. He said that they are getting killed on Chicago Bears bets. He said that for every 1 Minnestoa play on a parlay that they are getting Chicago 50 times.

He also said that Chicago and Cincinatti have become the 2 public favorites so far this year. They are also very heavy on the 2 favorites (New England and Atlanta) for Sunday and Monday nite football games.

That means nothing to me. I'm as contrarian as the next guy, but I know neither the credibility of the source, nor how large of a segment of the betting population they are seeing.

That would bother me if the line stayed on 3, but it is moving up fast, which IMO says the books do not have a lean towards Minny.

Minny had no sacks last week. If they can't put pressure on Grossman he'll pick them apart. And Carolina sacked Johnson 5 times last week. Hard to see how he doesn't get buried. Contrarian or not, I jsut don't see how Miny matches up. If they can keep it close maybe the crowd can oull them through, but it could just as easily get out of hand for the Bears IMO.

Easy winner...Huge $$$ days don't even matter when your team loses though on a shitty lucky ass fumble. No way bears win if they gotta go 80 yards. Minny showed me they are the better team though...I like our chances for the rest of the season...nobody goes unbeaten.

Here's to easy winner...a lot of squares lost with terrible numbers.:toast: :toast:

Crash! :nopityA:

Da Bears!

Seriously though, if you got +3.5 or more nice call. I pushed my -3. Just happy we won. I knew it would be a tough win against you guys...I think the meeting in Chicago at the end of the season is going to decide the division.
