Is it just me, or did today have more fumbles and INT's than a usual NFL Sunday?

Seems like every game I turn to or see on the scoreboard has someone either fumbling or throwing an INT. Maybe I'm wrong, but doesn't it seem like today had way more turnovers overall than a normal NFL Sunday?

I wonder if any stat guys have info on this.

Might be the case today. I'll tell you, I never saw as many PAT issues as I did in yesterday's action.

Actually it has been a problem all CFB season for a LOT of teams.

dead on here

it has gotten so bad for my fantasy team we called out team:

Hold on to the f*****g ball!

every week we lose 2-3 of them and each one costs us -1

The average was around 1.7 turnovers (fumbles lost + interceptions thrown) per team per game last year.

I don't feel like going through today's games and counting them all, but that gives you something to compare today to if you want

OK, I looked.

according to Yahoo, there were 49 turnovers in 12 games
=2.04/team
=4.08/game
compared to last years averages of 1.7/team or 3.4/game

there were only three games with more than 4 turnovers:
-Car/TB had 8
-NYG/Sea had 7
-StL/Ari had 6

This reminds me of the weekly baseball thread saying there are more blown saves than ever.

turnovers galore looks like highschool games, and not to mention the false starts in the chicago game

So there WAS more turnovers today than normal, but not a huge number more than normal. I guess it just felt like it.

Seems like most today were when teams in scoring position. Inside the 30's not in the middle of the field.
