Love Forbes. In better shape, and much faster fighter! Brewer is a great underdog story, but he's done now. I layed the chalk.

i'm new here, but I'd have to disagree with "Forbes" winning. You miss a lot of boxing with all the edits ESPN does to show the power shots. But you don't need to know a lot about boxing to know when you get knocked down in a fight and don't knock down or knock OUT your opponent, you better damn well dominate a good portion of that fight. My statement is ten fold when you are talking about a MERE FIVE ROUND fight. That's exactly what Brewer did to Bravo after he got stunned and knocked down early on. Bravo was a very formidable opponent.

Brewer is stronger then Forbes, and I assume this fight will be 10-12 rounds as it's the championship. It should be a great fight, but Brewer, I feel will win.

I know you miss a lot of boxing with the edits, but if you just watch the speed of those 2 fighters throughout the show, Forbes is much faster. And Brewer was lagging in many of those final rounds too. I watched Brewer vs Bravo and I actually think Bravo might have gotten a bad deal losing in that decision. But watching that fight all I could think of is that Forbes would beat either one easily. And yes, this fight will be longer than 5 rounds. I don;t usually bet boxing, especially my own opinions, but having watched the show I think Forbes is the side here.

I hear ya'. I just think it's tough to say "Bravo" got a raw deal when you agree you only see the edits. Remember, Bravo lost as a unanimous decision. It wasn't even split. If you watched the last 2 rounds, even the edits, Bravo got hit with twice as many power shots (at least) and definitely lost that fight. Brewer outworked and out punched him for 4 of 5 rounds. Again, to win a unanimous decision in a fight where you were knocked down, and it's only a 5 round fight, that's damn impressive.

I think Brewer in a longer fight may have a great opportunity to knock Forbes out. I don't bet boxing that much either (too many fixes) but i'd bet Brewer here (+)

I see Forbes is -230 and Brewer +190. I've watched the whole season and I'm 'rooting' for Brewer, but I just can't see him beating Forbes. Too much speed on Forbes side, one thing Brewer has on his side is his reach though. I didn't think Brewer could beat Bravo so who knows what'll happen. I don't know what/if I'll play something here. Maybe parlay the o9x with something, I don't see a KO here.

Brewer keeps his chin open too much. It will finally catch up with him here I think. Forbes is small but hits hard.

Agree with a lot of what Blitz is saying. Watched the whole series and just can't justify this line, Forbes is very likey better than Brewer but not -260 better in my mind. I'll take a small chance on the dog here.

5dimes
Tue 9/26 101 Steve Forbes -260 Over 9½ -280
11:00PM (EST) 102 Grady Brewer +220 Under 9½ +240

Brewer is NOT stronger than Forbes. I like him, but his punches are fairly week. The thing about Forbes is he can turn it on whenever he wants. If hes motivated, he can throw a fury of strong punches and take over a round.

I like Brewer as a person but Forbes is the superior boxer and its not that close.

Brewer has a decent upercut, if you are going to take him, take him to win by KO.

BTW, on the subject of only seeing the edits on TV, you can watch both fighter's last fights in their full length on espn.com right now via streaming video. The entire fight, no edits.

Got some of that myself.Put my baseball winnings from today on Forbes minus the big juice.I like this kid. Should be a good fight, both kids seem like quality people. Hope they both go on to bigger things after this:103631605 .

Forbes isn't that powerful. He is quick. I can't see an early round knockout.
