I think it is time to extend the Ryder Cup to "The Americas". I am sure you'd see a better effort from the likes of Cabrera and Weir than guys like Mickelson have put in this week.
The USA team is no longer competitive in this event under the "non-triers rule". Only a million bucks per player appearance money would get them out of bed for it. Unlike Jack Nicklaus in the past the top US guys have no apparent feel for the history of the sport unless it has green dollar bills attached to it.
