i had a bet on the european player with most point for the ryder cup at Pinny.
I had Garcia who ended up in a tie with 4 pts with westwood.
Pinny graded this as a loss, which surprised me.
I though in case of a tie, i would get reduced pay-out but still winning the bet.(it is even the same for normal 3 -ball bets)
Does somebody know what the rules on that were?

interesting you posted this, I have Westwood at another book. they graded it a loss. no way will I stand for that. An argument can be made they should pay out full odds as I dont think any provision was made as to what to do in case of a tie.

if they were to pay garcia and westwood bettors off at 1/2 odds, that would seem fair to everyone. grading it as a loss is not acceptable at all.

Just an oversight. I'm sure you will get paid half your stake at full odds in due course.

Yeah, it's 1/2 odds as it was a tie (cvrtainly not a loss). Shoddy grading there.

how could they not word a tie in this bet? I would say the chance of a tie was pretty good.

A tie being graded as a loss doesn't make sense from pinnacle. If two share the lead as top point scorer, to me that's a win. Not everyone is going to be able to be top scorer as there were only 2 out of 12. Just on the European side. If it isn't a win, it's certainly a refunded bet.

different rules for different books.... I had Garcia at Oly and it was graded a win.

Had JJ Henry top US debutante (rookie) and he tied. The bet confirm screen had (winner outright) as a stipulation. So the tie obviously didn't meet the "winner outright" qualification hence they took my stake. Bet365. Not that sore about it cause he was dead anyway and got a gift from McGinley.

Needless to say, I never noticed the stipulation until it was down to the end and then I hoped they would refund my stake. LOL, as if.

No such stipulation at Oly. Have to be real careful with these books and their fine print

I dont know what the wording was at my book, I think it just was "top european points scorer" but they have changed the grading and paid me at 1/2 odds which seems fair to me

The rules clearly state:

"Top Points Scorer:
In the event of a tie the stake money on a player is divided by the number of players involved in the tie. The full odds are then paid to the divided stake, with the remainder of the stake money being lost."

They initially graded my Garcia wager a loss, so I wrote them and they corrected it. However, they did not change the grading of the actual play, they just added the appropriate amount to my account. I suspect this is what happened for you too.

I didnt play this at the same book you did. my book did not have those rules. I did not make the bet even thinking about a tie, I just liked Westwoods chances to play a lot and he could score a lot of points
