Seems like alot of games are falling on 4 lately. Missed out on several games this season not taking the time to find 4.5 or buy up?

How much value is in the number 4? Is it worth 10 cents.

Thoughts?
Thanks.

A lot of people don't think so, but I do! A 4 point win is a touchdown less a field goal. Makes sense that it would be.

Im think college. Dont bet much NFL, but tonights game is what brought this to my mind.

I took the Saints at +4 earlier, and now I see 4.5 and even 5 at some places. I can just see myself losing a 21 to 17 game.

Im still steaming from my Caralina loss yesterday up 17-0 in the 3rd only to win by 2. I had caralina -2.5.

I need to do more homework on finding the best number.

Chop, it hasn't had as much value since the inception of the 2pt conversion. Also, the #2, isn't as live as it once was. Good Luck

True, and the numbers 7 and 10 have become more valuable.

Again..

3
7
10-4-6

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY, off to watch the SAINTS beat the FALCONS.

At Skybook they say you cant buy off of 3, but can you buy on to 3?

If a is +2.5, can you buy it up to 3?

Thanks.

With their free half point promo, one cannot buy on OR off of the numbers 3 AND 7.

Fish, years ago, I middled more games on the #2 when overzealous bookmakers crossed the line on small favorites. Good Luck

4 historically hits less than 5%, so it's not doable with full juice.

i agree with chop. obviously not as critical as 3 and 7, but i find it to be the next most critical number.

While more games may land on 10 i think more games set at 4 will land on 4 simply because those games tend to be closer games to begin with and play a little closer. Games set at 10 tend to be more 1 sided and seem to land near 10 less often.

Not sure if my last statement much sense to anyone else, but it did to me while i was writing it.

I agree with In Spades.. Also 4 is a safety less than a touchdown which is worth 6 points.

1) 4 is a very good halftime number and

2) 14 (though not that common in NFL) is a underrated number.

Games will be decided by 4 around 4% of the time. It is not an important number.

No arguement can beat the math of the game.

Its a tough decision what to do and hindsight always plays a big part. People moan about bad beats but never remember the times they got away with it. I had Chicago Under -34.5 Yesterday @ +104 , -115 was the best I could get at the time for 35 and I just didnt think it was worth it. What really done me in that Game was the chances of an interception being run back for a TD.

With the increase in Exchanges a lot of this type theory has gone out the door as you can trade for the better numbers at prices you have never got with the Books. The figures I have are if you bet with the Books, the best value is 3 & 7, 4 is about right and 5 & 6 your getting mugged. While The Exchanges average isnt far off the Books prices, their best prices are always hugely better except for the 3 which I think is more to do with layers being wary. :drink:

Four is a great number. After 3 and 7 it is the best.
