Was thinking about going postal at a city council meeting about 7 years ago. That is because they took tore down my pitch and putt golf course that cost 4 dollars around, course was called Driftwood, I use to play skins there with Scott Ferrall. These scumbag mayors took payoffs and now there is a Hilton resort there that is 50% empty 99% of the time.

Same scumbag council memebers declared my favorite lunch spot Wimpys as emminent domain, instead they put up starbucks and Burger King.

I really hate to say this but I really feel it must be said, all my experiences with the HBPD were positive. That being said, I'm sure there are some bad apples in any police organization.

They did the same thing here to a 14-15 yr old retarded kid standing in the doorway of his house with a knife in his hand. Got in a pissing match with his mom, so she called the cops. Despite the fact that everyone was out of the house & no one was in danger, he didn't comply with their orders, so they filled him full of holes. Cops on scene also had tasers, none of which were ever fired.

That's doing it Denver Style, and it's not uncommon.

It was mostly calling the cops on parties in my neighborhood at midnight on a Sunday night. I got into a fight one time with a neighbor's ex-boyfriend's friend and the police were very nice.

Nothing big.

The first time I lived in Huntington Beach back in the 90's the HBPD chased a bank robber on a high-speed chase which eventually ended in the bank robber t-boning an innocent family at an intersection. The relatives of the dead family took the city to court and the city was found not liable for damages. The law in California at the time stated that a city is not liable for damages in a high-speed chase as long as a city has a policy in place for such things. The law never addressed whether the policy had to be good or whether it was a reckless policy. It just stated that a policy had to be in place.
