Picked up 4.5 units yesterday, won't complain about a positive day, Cards hurt.

Tonight's Plays:

St. Louis Cardinals -164 for 10 Units -In Carpenters last 42 innings at home he has given up a total of THREE earned runs!!! That's sick!!! And those 42 innings were in a total of his last 5 home games!!! There are only 45 innings in 5 games, Carpenter pitched a complete game in 3 of those, 8 innings in one, and 7 in another. Carpenter will go at least 8 tonight, and if he isn't over 110 pitches come the 9th, he'll pitch it as well. This is a must win for St. Louis, they're at home where they have one of the best winning pctgs in the majors and they have the perennial NL Cy Young winner on the mound..... Why not play the RL? Because Woody has been tough of late, but there are several Cards that hit him well. Looking for a big effort from St. Louis tonight and the RL should be good, but for me I'll lay the juice and am confident that St. Louis walks away with a W here tonight!

Milwaukee Brewers -113 for 5 Units -Villeneuva is a good pitcher, and has pitched well of late. He can get you to the 7th or 8th, while Marshall does well to go 5, then its the Cub bullpen who has a whopping 7.5 ERA the last several. Also the brewers are hitting lefties at a .305 clip the last 10 and the cubs .235 vs righties last 10. Brew crew has won 6 of their last 7 vs the Cards and Giants, while Cubs have dropped 5 of last 6 vs Cincy, who is struggling offensivesly to put it mildly, and Philly.

Detroit Tigers RL -102 for 10 Units -Huge series for the Tigers vs Toronto. They know they control their own destiny, every game is a big one from here on out for them, and they're peaking offensively, and just at the right time. The Tigers are 35-16 in Game 1 of a series and 19-7 off a win, while the 'Jays are 26-24 in Game 1 and 8-15 off a win. This is Detroits biggest series of the regular season, and playing at home with Bonderman on the mound who has been very tough vs Toronto, while the Tigers have hit McGowan exceptionally well in their brief exposure, scoring 14 runs in only 10 innings. Look for Detroit to score early and often here and Bonderman to keep the Jays in check.

Florida Marlins -1 -122 for 7 Units -Cincy hitting .151 off of lefties the last 10!!! Willis has a career 1.67 ERA vs. Cincy!!! Certainly not who Cincy needs to see on the mound at the moment!! The Fish should win this one by at least 2 runs, but will lay the 1 and pay the small price.

-may be back with a leftcoaster that I'm looking at later.
