85 pitches in a tie game where he is pitching well(last run scored with 2 erroers by Backs). Guy is trying to win Cy Young and they pull him!!??
What is D'Back owner trying to avoid a bonus for him if he wins Young!!

I hedged some of it back. More than I layed...but still man. That's f'n stupid man. The guy's way better than any reliever they have. Friggin scrub Giants lost 9 of 10 b4 tonight. And they "beat" Webb. Yeah Right. They beat the lard ass manager.

Old School:
The only reason I trusted the D'Backs was because Webb has been very public about going for the CY and why not as what else do the Backs have to play for. I could see if he had 120 pitches or something but he was doing great. Just figured they would hav eat least let him pitch the ninth before turning it over to their useless bull pen who I knew would blow it immediately even without Bonds and the Giants having mailed it in 2 weeks ago. Tough one to take.
Oh well, at least the Giants have already cinched my under wins bet for year. Should have just let the Backs and their managerial incompetence alone. Might look at their under next year!

trevor hoffman deserves the Cy. 44 saves, a sub-2 ERA on a playoff team and the all-time saves record. 12 walks and 2 HRs allowed all season.

the web was cast

The way Web was pitching he could have stayed until the 10th - where
probably Ariz would have won. Freakin owners passing instruction to
managers to pull starter to avoid potential bonuses. THEY ARE NO BETTER
THAN THE PLAYERS....ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE POCKETS.

Sure the giants were due to win - even the crappiest teams will surface
from 1-9 in last 10 games. It's just the way baseball is.

Which brings me to my point. Don't give a damn who the giants put on
the mound today- hell it could even be the batboy. Arizona is going to
hand SF another win "a la Web".

Giants are decent crappy team. Which is precisely why they will win
today. (making it two straight wins...something they have not done in
a long time)

WITH CERTAINTY:

Giants money line: 300
Giants -1.5: 150
Giants 1st 5 innings 150
