At about $11 a month it offers a rather huge bargain for key European Football live matches. Seems like the live offerings have almost doubled from last year. Incedible bargain for soccer punters in the States.

I don't have direct TV so i get the broadband version. Still a bargain at $14.95

How is the broadband version? I was thinking of subscribing to that. I assume the field is pretty reliable with few hiccups? I've been watching all the Setanta games at the pub and it's getting annoying waking up at 6am local time to watch matches on weekends.

Its channel 615 and I have it- and cant really do without it.

Today for instance they have an extra champs league game on - and they cover the premiership even more than Fox. Between Fox, Gol, and Setanta soccer is finally getting coverage here.

11 bucks is a bargain for me.

What is setanta?

I change my direct tv back and forth from a normal package to a spanish package about every 2 or 3 weeks.

The spanish package picks up a bunch of channels in spanish that have a bunch of soccer games, but it loses some fox sports and I think NBA tv and a few other channels.

There is no fee for me to change it back and forth - just a phone call.

I have inquired about paying additional to have both packages, but no such deal.

Setanta is a stand alone one channel package at above stated price.
And they also offer Coca-Cola Championship League live coverage also. Plus some Scottish Premier League Live games as well.

every saturday there 5+ college football games on these channels that arent on cable tv

Have had it for over a year now and Setanta really stepped things up since the World Cup.

EPL, Coca Cola Championship, Ligue 1, Champions League, Euro and World Cup qualfying coverage is tremendous.

Not to mention the AFL Grand Final is on live Friday night.

Directv has a very nice lineup when you combine Setanta, FSC and GolTV.

That's for sure. Setanta is the best kept secret around. A must for us degenerates on those boring weekday afternoons. Can easily turn you into a regular soccer punter.
