The problem could come Sunday, If Minn needs a win will they pitch Santana? He would probably only get to pitch once in the first series. I wouldn't pitch him Sunday.

They already stated Santana would not under any circumstances pitch on Sunday.

what i cant believe is the tigers wouldnt throw verlander if they need a WIN on sunday...that makes me sick....i COMPLETELY understand minny not throwing santana...but the tigers dont NEED verlander like the twins need santana...

rogers is already penciled in for game1...if the tigers needed a win on sunday i think the risk/reward is FAR greater trotting out verlander than robertson...detriot has said they are going with a 4man rotation for the playoffs...rogers would get 1and5 throw freaking robertson in game2..bonderman in game3...verlander in game4

i understand leyland is trying to give him a little extra rest but its not imperative...he hasnt looked terrible...im sure he hopes it doesnt come down to sundays games but if it does i think they should start him to potentially win the division...

ive been saying for weeks detriot needs the division more than minny b/c detriot doesnt have a lights out type of guy like santana...detriot needs to play oakland to have any shot of advancing...seeing how they already have their #1 set for game1...i dont see any problem with throwing verlander should they need him...

The first tiebreaker will be head-to-head competition between the two Clubs during the championship season. If the Clubs remain tied, then the tied Clubs with the higher winning percentage in intradivision games during the championship season. If the Clubs remain tied, then the tied Club with the higher winning percentage in intraleague games during the championship season. If the Clubs remain tied, then the tied Club with the higher winning percentage in the last half of intraleague games during the championship season. If the Clubs remain tied, then the tied Club with the higher winning percentage in the last half plus one of intraleague games during the championship season. This process will be followed game-by-game until the tie is broken.
