How do you manage to get over a huge loss? Terrible Saturday today in NCAAF and MLB losing about $8,000. Comparing to some people that may not be a huge amount, with my bankroll it hurt. I can bounce back, but it hurt badly.

I'm very drunk right now, but besides drinking how do you recover from a huge loss?

Fuck...you have a low post count, god knows you might actually take my post seriously. Stupid morals.

Learn solid money management principles and put them into practice...don't try to get it all back with one bet, etc etc etc.

Most people with that few post will just double up on Sunday. Not an attractive card for me this Sunday but I need to make my Carib contest plays.

Whatever you do, don't ask Terrell Owens for advice. You'll end up overdosing.

Honestly...food. Good food. I know I shouldn't and it's a terrible habit, but if I have a bad losing day I try to think of something I really want to eat and then get it.

Of course, when I have a big winning day I like to celebrate by eating good food too. I've got problems.

Otherwise, I would say just remember the horrible feeling you have now and think about what lead to it. Then try to avoid it again. (If that means betting less, do it!)

I remember when I first started gambling about 6 years ago. I had so many sleepless nights and late night walks around the block when I had horrible losing streaks.

And, I remember throwing things across a hotel room on more than 1 occassion.

Thankfully, I know what I'm doing now, so those days are over.

Best recommendation I could give is to bet on paper before you really know what you're doing. Had I started that way the 1st couple years, I would not have gotten into any trouble.

Re-evaluate your units. You're playing entirely too much per game & are putting your entire bankroll at risk with one SHORT bad run.

Back off, big time.

Take tomorrow off & come back either Monday or even better during the week for college.

Hire a hooker. You will forget all about your losses for a little while at least. Then start gambling on Sunday.

Ultimately, you have to expect a day like yesterday and plan for it.

For example, take my 30 Sept ....

Started the day 4-0 on the noon games, then dropped 11 straight! Finished the day 5-12, losing about 18% of my money. Point is I survived a horrible streak with the majority of bank roll intact. And I'm still up 199% for the year.

Seriously play one of those 10pt teasers in the NFL for a small amount.

Make it with some plays you believe wont lose and slowly build your confidence from there.

i.e. Panthers +3
Cards/Falcs Over 30.5
Redskins+12.5
Ravens +12.0

Some shit like this maybe for like 50.00

gl bro we've all been there at some point in our gambling careers
