Agents? Per head shop?

I hear a lot of people around here talk about agents and per head shops etc. Being a relatively young fellow (23) I've never gambled with a local, always offshore and thus have almost no idea what these terms mean. I think I may have a slight idea, but I don't know how the whole process works. Anyone care to deifne these terms and explain how the whole "agent/PPH" deal works?

A local that pays a fee for you to play offshore, basically you log in as you would an offshore site and play. You have a credit line and would settle with the agent at the end of the week. Thing is though you have to know an agent/local to get in.

It would be the same thing if you had a local. The local would basically say, "Okay Johnny your limit for the week is let's say $1,000 with a $500 max bet. Meaning you cannot bet more than $500 on one game and your limit for the week is $1,000. He would then give you a website, login and password that you would go to and play. At the end of the week when it is time to settle up you meet your man and exchange, that simple.

Person(agent) talks to a book says he can bring customers to book. Agent and book agree on a % the agent will be paid on what the customer loses. Agent gets credit line(settle figure) for example, say $50,000. Customer hooks up with agent, agent gives them an account # with book and a credit line say $2000 and a settle figure say $1000. You can bet at the book up to $2000 at risk. In a week you lose $1200. You have gone over your settle figure you must meet you agent and pay him $1200. Vice-versa if you win. If agents figure in all his customer's accounts goes over $50000 he has to send to book.

WHat I just described is how an agent works, not a head shop.
