Isn't Neteller used for other means besides gambling?? When you use Neteller with your bank it shows up as a EFt with NT ########## on your bank statement, Not any form of gambling. How can anyone justify its for gambling?? I know thats a stupid question but just was wondering? Neteller has to comply with what is being done now but with this 270 day period they are stating is it possible that any day they can be shut down to US customers?? I'm sure Books are way ahead of the game and preparing for this to happen. Didn't something happen with Western Union years ago with Sports books not being able to accept Western Union, I belive in the early 90's it was. For 2 weeks it was almost impossible to send and recieve offshore? Man I thought there were much more politicians betting offshore , why letting this get voted in I don't understand. Guess its back to paying your local every Tuesday or Wednesday! Does anyone know of any way books will get around this and find means of funding?? Will Neteller be safe till After the super bowl?? Billions of dollars at stake here. Man because of BUSH we lose almost 4000 people at the World Trade Centers, thousands at war, now billions in offshore. Its OK for BUSH and his DADDY to make millions in offshore with Oil, but let the average Joe try to make a buck and it gets shot down. BUSH SUCKS!

Although not a gambling site, Neteller merchants are 99.9% gambling. They don't really have to comply with jack, but it is possible they will pull out of the US market if their legal department tells them this is the best move. I hope they decide to stick with the business as usual stance and tell the US to shove it.

It would be great if all the British firms pulling out of the US market join Antigua in the WTO complaint against the US.

I'm usually in Vegas once a month, guess its time to move to Vegas and come to NY once a month. Fuk Bush and his buddies. If he was never elected President I believe that things would be more safer here in the US. JMO.

Bush also hates unions and will continue to try and break them up. One more reason to dislike Bush.

I hear you Carmine, two more years and we will be rid of him.

IMO, even if Neteller does pull out of the US, I think they will either let you play out the money you have there and just not accept new deposits from the US or they will say we can't do business with you anymore and send you a check for any balance you have there. The money should be safe either way, they are very liquid.

As far as life without Neteller (if it comes to that), there will always be a way, just have to wait and see what method becomes easiest and most popular.

If you guys think Party and 888,etc pulled out and they don't plan to fight, I've got sand in a desert to sell you.

The only difference in WSEX and party is at WSEX, 3 guys can say FU America. At Party, a public corporation with thousands of owners must go wage war with the world court.

If the world court rules that Party can service the US there is absolutely not a thing the US can do about it.

Thanks Sean for all the info you have posted.

If I was a Party stockholder I would be in the FU America group rather than see my stock plummet 70% or whatever it was. Wouldn't it be in the best interest of shareholders for the corporation to say FU?

Can someone explain the ramifications of non compliance by these public companies?

It could if the the banks eventually cut them off. They would have problems accepting US deposits. Just have to wait and see if that really happens.

Welcome to the RX by the way. Lots of good info here.

It is far fetched, but technically if you are a share holder of a company taking bets, the United States government could arrest you.

Prior court cases have shown share holders are not responsible for laws broken by company executives (When a bank breaks SEC rules, shareholders are not jailed) but that does not mean the DOJ could not make arrests.
