It seems some public companies are making their first moves in order to comply to the new Bill, I wonder if they know something we dont know, or if there is some internal pressure for them to take actions so fast in this route.

Its sad but uncle sam seems to be taking its toll to the market, if this is going to be the trend, sad but truth DOJ would have won this match :(

So much for bravery ...

I was sad to see the $100 monthly bonus at Intercasino go. That was a good one

Its not half the blow you think it is. Nothing has been signed yet, first and foremost. And I can assure companies whom bail now, will deeply regret it later. Many stand ready to take there place and there are many buyers out there. I know it for a fact. Many of the players being cast off are forming alliances right now as we speak. Collectivly, they have the know how, connections, money or access to money, to quicly fill the needs of a "DESPRATE TO GAMBLE PUBLIC". History has proven, PEOPLE will always take a chance. I.E. there are many is netellr/firepay solid threads in here, as well as other established companies that came from the flames of 01-02.

No different now and like before a better more efficient product will emerge. It always has thru out time and it always will.

Dont worry boys and girls, I am holding up the sky for you. No need to panic.

Both Cryptologic and BOSS Media. The press releases are in the thread Industry Responses.

PlayTech issues a press release that their revenue may be impacted, MicroGaming and RealTimeGaming haven't said anything.

Indeed, players have nothing to worry about. For every company exiting the market there are three more salvating over the abandoned marketshare.

Know something, no...

Only that they want to protect their very public asses, and public assets.

Also, give the worst scenario to investors to protect themselves from lawsuits there and remove the shadow of uncertainty from their stock.

Im sure quite a few regret to have gone public after the recent events, the initial owners probably made a shit load of money but doesnt matter what they say ... a 30% - 40% marketshare loss is a HUGE impact.
I think they are reacting too fast, just like chicken little, but the problematic is that they are leaving us all with a bad taste ... at least me ...

I am under the impression that some of these companys are not reading the language in this bill properly.

This bill, really just makes it very criminal to run any kind of internet gambling operation in the US. Which we already knew.

It then limits the funding options a bit more, but the Patriot act provided a far bigger blow than this Port Bill attachment Bs.

My take is the companies that have banned US players want no part of dealing with the DOJ and the new regulations. It's just easier and cleaner to say no US players. I can't help but think the US is too big a market to shut out long term. Hopefully when this all gets sorted out in 3-6 months they will reopen US accounts. I sure hope so, I've made alot of cash the last 6 months bonus whoring casinos

Here's their client list:

Not sure how much U.S. market share each has. Some are obviously European-centric.

WagerWorks

WagerWorks hasn't responded.

But AFAIK, none of their clients accepted U.S. customers. Correct me if I'm wrong.

this is totally 100% ridiculous

what is next? Toyota is not going to sell me a car because they fear I might do something illegal with it?

all these software companies that now police what I can do after I pay MY license fee and I pay THEIR royalties...................deserve to have their stock crashed all the way to the 0.0001 cent (or pence) value

This bill does not make legal anything that was illegal nor does it make illegal anything that was legal (or non illegal) before

if they wanted to grab everyone let me spell it for these politicians , put "casino/bingo/ONLINE POKER/sports betting" instead of "internet betting" geesh

banks are not liable, players are not liable...........everything is the same as it was last week

except that now they have panicked a bunch of people and a few billion dollars have evaporated from the stock market
