CRIS is screwing me over !

I tried to place a bet on their website on the second half of the Oakland/ Minn game to over 3.5 at +135. I tried to bet my balance of $260 on it. The site said that the bet could not be accepted because my balance was exceeded.

Having only a few minutes to place this bet, I decide that I will go ahead and just bet it at DSI ( same company) instead, since the CRIS website was malfunctioning. So I bet it there for $300 even.

I log into CRIS in the bottom of the 5th of the SL/ SD game to see what the lines are, and my balance is zero, and the $260 shows up in my history as a loser.

I wouldn't have made the second bet, if I knew the first one went through.

I call them and they say there is nothing they can do about it ! It's because of their screwed up site, that I made the second bet.

I'm sure it would have been counted as a winner had it won, but I think they should refund the bet in this case. I've been playing there a long time, and never had a dispute, until this time.

I'm done with them, unless they rectify this situation.

Same thing happened to me for a 3 dime bet. I called and complained like hell, told them I know what I saw and the bet never went through. But there it was, after I got a message saying something to that effect. I was told the software could not have done that, and I should have checked my pending wagers? Why would I check my pending wagers when I got a message saying it was no bet? I was livid. When you are pressed for time, almost always, you do not have time to fiddle fuck around checking pendings to see if it went through or not when it said it did not. Feels so much better I am not alone here. The results, I just ate it.

I've seen similar reports at SBR also. It clearly said in red, that the bet was not accepted. I have both books in case one of the sites does screw up, and only CRIS and DSI offer this bet.

correction price was +145, not +135, but that's not important.

Cris Software - BEWARE
<HR style="COLOR: #336699" SIZE=1>The Cris website has become really aweful.
Some facts of what happened lately:

- Bets that were accepted didnt show at open bets.
They simply disappeared, asking CS resulted in "sorry there are
no bets.

- I try to bet a line, and it changes. Iam ok with the new price and place the bet. Can you imagine: they give me an even worse price, without warning me again. 10c worse!

- the site is down and slow loading specially during crunch times, but thats nothing new right?

- there is still the cent stealing with rounding bets

Overall this is so unacceptable for a book like CRIS, and i agree with what Slash posted some time ago: their site has become one of the worst.
I hope SBR will look into this, iam not the only one who experienced this i spoke with several people...
They can sponsor 100 contests here i dont care.

The price did change on me, it was +130 at first, then came back at +145, enter password to accept new price, I did that, it said balance exceeded. It never showed a confirmed bet, it showed the balance in account.

I then just bet it at DSI, as I was limited in time to make the bet.

Doug, that is why I check every bet in my pending wagers right away, unless if I phone the bet in. That similiar situation happened to me at SIA where when I confirmed the wager there was an error. I waited for at least 20-30 mins on the phone (was pissed off) to see if my bet went through and it did. No matter what happens rarely do the sportsbook ever admit fault even if they have the lousy software. You seem like a really sharp player and without CRIS it is going to be very difficult to win in the long run because they are the ones to put out the lines first and there are always lots of middles. At least you were lucky the bet was only for such a little amount and it would be a pity to never play their again. I know it is the principle, but sometimes what can you do, especailly if you are a pro at this. What happens when you are a 100% sure that you made a wager over the phone for 1700 and they have no record that you bet. That is even worse in my mind. Hopefully CRIS maybe gives you a Bonus Play or something.

Here's what to do :

Never accept a changed line from CRIS. Re-enter the bet, as new, then it should be OK.

It appears Wilheim has resolved this in my favor. The funds aren't there yet, but I trust they soon will be.

Add me to the list of people that this has happened to. Happened to me 2 days ago.

It said the bet did not go thru. So I made the bet again. I check my pending plays and it shows 2 bets on the same play.

I was lucky that I bet the game before it started. I was able to call them up and talk them into cancelling one of the plays. But if this was a halftime wager, I would have been screwed.

I had a problem with WSEX ... it was interactives and almost the same thing happened.

When I called WSEX, they gave me my money back ASAP. They said that they believed me because I wasn't the only person who had complained about this type of problem.

CRIS must know that Doug's case wasn't the first time it happened. If that is the case, they need to step up and take responsibility like WSEX did.
