Oakland +115....Simply put, this is Oakland series to win. I simply don't think Minnesota is playing very well right now and after Santana goes down in Game 1, I don't think mentally they will recover and will likely get swept. Loaiza should be favored over Bonser imo and feel Oakland has too many hungry veterans like Kendall and Thomas who are out to prove something. Think this one is very easy!

Wrong. You're "way off" on this one. Minny wins easily behind Bonser. I'm thinking of making that my official play today. It was only a 3-2 win for Oak. Minny is clearly the better play here.

i agree that min will win, loiza has not pitched well all year, he has a 4.30 era over last 7 games (4-2)
bonser 2.93 era over last 7 (4-2)
at some point hopefully the home stadium will mean an advantage
the over is 9 which i dont think im going to touch, but i already got minnesota at an unimpressive 1.73

Kojak.....get this. Last night I checked in with you and talked about playing the Yankee under right?......well this morning thinking that I had lost I go to Betjamaica and low and behold I look and my wager was graded as a winner. I was in a hurry last night when I placed the wager and I clicked on over.....lesson learned in a good way I guess. 4-0 yesterday, cant believe it. Im thinking this one sails over the total today, gonna cheer on my Twins.

All the best.

Kojak I am curious why you would take +1.15 when there is +1.45 available? And is still going higher. Were you in a hurry to get the play out?

Yanni, you said "Loaiza has not been good all year"?? He was the hottest pitcher in baseball for about 4 weeks in August, check his record. This is probably why he's #2 for the playoffs.

He did have a very impressive run when the A's were clinching division.

hate to go against you kojak, but I think the Twins win this one today... Loaiza is not the pitcher he was 2 yrs ago with CWS, and I expect the Twins to bounce back... Expect pretty good games by Morneau and Torii Hunter, who have already smacked HR's against Loaiza... Once the Twins are in the lead, Neshek, Rincon and Nathan will bring it home...

Loaiza is one of the best pitchers in baseball for the first 5 innings, he seems to struggle the 3rd time thru. This will be one of the keys to watch today. Will the A's bullpen shut down the Twins if this situation occurs? I have a hard time laying juice on the Twins since they arent a patient enough team at the dish. Bonser has pitched damn good lately, but this is the playoffs with added pressure, how will he handle it? If I were to play a side it would be the A's, but the Twins are my favorite team thus I am going to cheer them on and pass.....

I believe that he was in a hurry Frog....think Kojak is at work today.

Notice that was not a bash, and that is what I thought. From my experience this line had only one way to go, up. This is known as the bounce angle, and it occurs when the team favored to win the series, loses game #1 at home, they will bounceback and win game #2. More of a situational trend than an angle. Applies to NBA as well.

Take a home team in a series, that it was favored to win, that lost game #1 to bounceback and even the series game #2.

Frog,
Definitely looks like I am on an island with this pick as there is overwhelming support for Twins. I actually like that fact. Like when I occassionally bet my Cards, majority are against and it cashes more than not. In bases, I only put a C note a game but may add one for this one. Thanks for explaining angle.

Hey, your not at work? Oh well, check my previous post for the explanation of movement. At least if you want to press the line is way better now. I'm passing this one, playing a prop only. Too many conflicting angles and trends. Might see a little takeback by the scalper's on the 25 cent move. I saw -1.60 as a high. Good luck either way.

However yesterday as Tomorrow's Newspaper was in front of the move, the Cards were steamed both game #1 a little, and the series a lot. I appreciate the contrarian approach as sometimes I live by it. But except for that dud over move in Cards game the moves have been decent so far. I am just concerned when I see someone not getting the best price. Hope I helped a little, like I said good luck today.

That is the same exact thing I said in my last post, without seeing this one. Just trying to help.
