A number have, but this issue will never garner much attention from the majority of politicians. If you think its on the radar of most you are nuts. I would say 50 or fewer politicians even pay any attention to it and only look at the issue when legislation emerges.

Good point--most of the Congress and the Federal government could care less and certainly don't care enough to make it a priority of any sort. You'll notice that the actual Congressmen/Senators you here talking about the issue are the same ones over and over again--Kyl, Goodlatte, et. al. These guys have a boner for it and probably always will, but everyone else is more concerned with things like the war, taxes, homeland security and other more pressing issues.

Exactly. I would bet at least half the Senators didn't even realize they were voting for the internet gaming transactions ban when they voted on the Safe Port Act.

Exactly...no one wants to be on record for voting against safe ports, so that's why they voted for it. That's why Frist had to weasel it onto a piece of legislation like this--no one cared enough about the issue to consider it specifically. If you think that even a Republican controlled Congress is going to clear their desk of little things like the war, tax reform, and the gazillion other issues they deal with to wage all out war on sports gambling you really need to put down the crack pipe...
